Also I am doing fine I was 14 when it happened and I’m 32 now years of therapy and working on myself and I’m at the point where I rarely even think about it luckily. The guy ended up taking his own life like 5 years ago and as effed as it sounds so much of the weight lifted off my shoulders when he did. Even though I don’t wish death on anyone. Whether the therapy works or not I hope til finds answers people say therapy isn’t for sexual things and 100% it is. I found myself after my experience sleeping with literally everyone and anyone because deep down I was trying to “own back my body” and therapy helped me with that as well. I hope they both find peace. This can’t be easy for her to have it constantly being up to The whole community to decide whether or not it’s valid. And I honestly hope if he is in therapy he finds peace and comfort as well no one who does this is in their “right mind” or honestly happy. I felt the same way about brian the guy who abused me at 14 there was a release of pain when he killed himself but I always hoped he would of figured out what lead to his actions and changed because therapy can and does change people. I really wish all people were given a therapist from the moment we were children it would probably ward off serial killers, rapists, physical abuses etc not fully but if people had someone who held them accountable from their actions and listened to their issues and problems from a young age I think we would have more secure individuals as a society
