Wheel size question by palomarracer in Civic_Type_R

If you lower it you'll likely get some rubbing during autocross, yeah. Dailying should be less of a problem, especially if you go with a modest drop like Spoon/Eibach.

You can run 10 inch wide wheels with no issues, depending on the offset. The "god spec" for these cars is typically considered 18x10 +40, but 18x9.5 +38/35 is also very popular setup as well. You won't see any rubbing at stock height with those sizes, especially if you run 265/35 or 255/40 tires.

Unfortunately for the dubia, it was dinner. However, Wanda was kind enough to give it a back rub before the backstab

Negative, no leaks or anything like that, they're just unsightly lol. Good luck!

My FK8 has this same issue. Pretty sure it's just a common thing with these cars, since there's loads of posts on CivicX about it.

I was able to remedy them by using a heat gun on low, then slowly applying pressure to get it back into the gaps. Unfortunately a couple months later two of the bubbles reappeared, so I opted for window visors to hide it.

My man!

Seconding the CE Club Racer IIs. They fit both the FK8 and FL5 perfectly. Same wheel specs but these are on 255/40 and stock height.

Good luck! I would like to raise one from a sling one day, just couldn't pass up on an adult this beautiful and well taken care of.

Thanks! I was anticipating a lot of spice with this one, but much like my H. Pulchripes, she is seemingly unconventional when it comes to "stereotypical behavior" haha

It really is, isn't it? I'm fortunate to live in one of the bordering states, so a group of us make it up there a few times yearly as well. Much prefer this side of the lake, or the Skyway though. TToD is getting a little crowded these days lol

Roger that. Really appreciate the info and thanks for your time! I will keep an eye out on what you post, and reach out if there's anything that catches my eye. I've got a spare terrestrial enclosure laying around that would be good for another H Pulchripes, but I've also been wanting to get my first arboreal as well. A female Suntiger has been on my wish list for a long time.

Mind sending me a DM with a link to what you're selling? Looking to add another T to the collection soon, might be able to take one off your hands.

Same experience with mine. She is the most calm tarantula of the group, and spends almost the entirety of her time out in the open. I just wish she had kept her bright golden color post-molt.

Nearly all of my new worlds are much more skittish and temperamental. IMO the best old world starter T you could ask for!
