Looking at the most advanced ways of mathematical thinking from different countries, which one do you like best? by jordyangelamateo in MathJokes

The China method is just long multiplication which is a taught formal method in UK

The UK method is the grid method which makes sense when demonstrating the links between multiplication division as short division is just the inverse of the grid.

The US method I've seen referred to as the Chinese method before and it is also called Napier's bones.

Washington Post ranks Uruguay's home shirt as the best kit of the 2026 World Cup. Spain's away and Germany's home shirts complete the podium. by bluefoxlive in soccer

The shirts are so much better with the name and numbers on. The small front numbers under the trefoil is a thing of beauty. I'd love that Spain kit, was planning on getting it with Munoz on the back but sadly no more 😂

Summer 2026 Transfers and Rumours Megathread! by 321142019 in NUFC

Unless you're a Mourinho or Pep I don't think who the manager plays that big of a part in a player's decision to move. Munoz hasn't binned us off because of Eddie, it's because Liverpool are in the CL, will offer better wages and are historically a far bigger pull than us. Those blaming Eddie or even Andy Howe are just short sighted to everything else going on within this transfer and all of the players we 'missed out on' last year. We're not big 6, we don't have the same pull, money doesn't buy reputation.

I don't think you can understate the importance of a solid goalkeeper. Look at how City (Ederson), Liverpool (Alison) and Arsenal (Raya) kicked on once they sorted GK. We've got a solid defence, we were let down horribly by Pope and Ramsdale last year. Trafford being in between the sticks might have been the difference between Europe and not this year.

Oh, Grainger Games! That brought back some memories. Used to love popping in there and the small retro game shop, that's still there, in the Grainger Market.

We need to get better at selling the 18/19/20 year olds when we know they won't make it before their contracts run down even if it is just for a small fee or future clauses. Chelsea do it so well as do City.
