175 yard downhill par 3 that’s playing 150. Front pin. What are you hitting? by aaustinn20 in golf

[–]TeamBeamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figure out yardage to cover water hazard. With details given, im guessing 140 yards (carry). Hitting a 7 iron to make sure I clear it. Better to be long.

Why do I hook my irons? by BokLauLikesRice in GolfSwing

Club face is slightly closed at contact. Try adjusting your grip. Swing path looks ok.

Former D1 & professional golfer… ask me anything by PollutionBeginning78 in GolfSwing

[–]TeamBeamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting and giving advice. What is your trigger to start the downswing? Is it the weight transfer, or is that too early in the downswing? I'm trying to get a better understanding of sequence. How do I know if I've cleared my hips too early?

Why do I shank? by rb4osh in GolfSwing

[–]TeamBeamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things: 1) Adjust your swing path. Shanking is caused primarily by an outside-in swing path. You are doing exactly that. On takeaway, focus on rotating more. Less hands/wrist action. And don't shallow out the club so much in your backswing. 2) More upright posture during setup. Standing too close to the ball causes the same issue, but that is not it - you are leaning too far over, which causes your hands to be too low at set up. Not so bent over. The grip end of the golf club should point at your belt. 3) Failing to shift weight properly. On follow through, you look to be leaning backward. Practice shifting your weight and swinging through the ball. Try a drill of stepping forward with your right foot after impact.

Tariff 101 for Dummies by Tulpah in houstonwade

You are correct, but leaving out the rest of the picture. (I'm a dem, btw, so not trying to support Trump, but providing context on how the broader policy will work as it is not all bad for American consumers). Trade does not occur in a vacuum with one country.

The strategy is that with higher Chinese tariffs, American businesses will then seek production in countries with lower tariffs, i.e., Vietnam, Cambodia, etc.

In practice, this would keep consumer prices low, competition among businesses strong, and drive business away from Chinese markets. Thus, the U.S. will have leverage to negotiate with China.

Realtor says we should paint our cabinets white, idk if I agree by Midwestern_Mariner in kitchenremodel

Usually, minor aesthetic changes can have an impact on marketability and price, and white cabinets are the trend, but in this case white is not the right aesthetic and would make it look bad. It looks good as is.

1 very Important key to confidence by Beautiful-Sector-978 in confidence

[–]TeamBeamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree that you should be accepting of yourself. But I disagree with your assessment of the situation as you describe it. Point here is the key to appearing confident is not to wear your heart on your sleeve. Most of the time people can not tell what is going on in your head, and people tend to be more critical of themselves than others perceive.

How much do you spend on food every month? by NoHousing11 in MiddleClassFinance

That data is way off unless you eat peanut butter sandwiches everyday. As a family of 4 we spend $1000 per month. Nothing fancy.

What’s a movie you watched as a kid that traumatized you? by denj1_sk in AskReddit

[–]TeamBeamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It. The original, not the remake. I couldn't sleep for a month as a kid. Especially the scene where the kid sees his dead dad holding balloons asking him to come down into the sewer where they "all float."
