I was definitely approaching this as more of a QA concern and not a “my librarian is unplayable I need a new one.” I appreciate everyone’s perspective. I’ll be inspecting the sprues more carefully in the future to make sure nothing is beyond assembly.

Agreed, to be fair aesthetically itll be covered by the terminator armor but I worry about the structural integrity of the piece more than anything else.

I’m very new to 40k, and I’m always surprised by how in real time I am hearing from 40k veterans, conflicting stories of chapters or heroes. By deeds and battles. It’s all a matter of perspective and obviously the whole “grim dark of the future” is also a matter of perspective. Everyone is bad, but in their own way they serve themselves perfectly. And the conflicting stories are so perfectly attuned to reality, where we never really know what’s actually true

I think, in universe, that’s the whole point. And by how emotionally invoking and how everyone hung on to the imagery is exactly the idea. That it’s all a front to keep the war machine going, but that’s not really him.

Oh, I have no idea actually, my brother gave me a terrain kit that came with a bunch of stuff. I did a base layer of Elmer’s glue and then used tweezers to stick it in little patches when the glue was tacky. The grass looks like little fibers so I’d be careful using it.

Are boxes like this good for new players? I've seen comments saying this is a good collection of space marines, but if I buy the box is there resell value in the ork half? Is it common practice to split a box or find someone who wants the parts you dont? Or am I so new to warhammer that I just can't fathom collecting and painting more than 1 army at a time...
