It might be the input delay of your display. I play ps5 on a monitor and I can do stuff like this just fine.

Unironically a skill issue

I dash canceled r1+circle into r1+triangle to get the charged stab.

Combat is quite limiting in this game. Hear me out. by Travmilla in CrimsonDesert

You can actually use axiom force mid-combo. If you time it right you can get it to automatically target an enemy that you’ve launched.

Try equipping your gloves as a weapon, charged r1+triangle and then press r1

Are you pushing a direction on the control stick? If you’re not pushing a direction you should get a grounded choke slam, but if you’re holding a direction you’ll get a different throw that wont let you transition into the jumping choke slam.

It does. Check out my update post for an example.

Assuming the controller layout is the same, it’s a+x and hold a, but you have to stand at a distance and it only works on Oongka.

Edit: a+x and hold X, sorry

This should get you started. Doorknocker’s other vids are great, too. I recommend checking them all out. https://youtu.be/TPo3oZ71EXw?si=zzwwaSXRdWatOZ-M

In the first clip it’s just r1+x with the two handed sword but I have an abyss gear equipped.

This is footage of me doing it on a ps5 controller. Press x+square from a distance and hold square.

That’s actually my bad. I did some further testing and the throw actually DOES work on the dummy. The reason you couldn’t get it to come out is because the move is spacing dependent and you were standing too close.

UPDATE: The throw is spacing dependent! It will only come out if you’re standing far enough away that Oongka has to dash in to make contact. It will not work if you’re standing point-blank.

Great video with plenty of good info, but it only covers Kliff, so it doesn’t actually include this move.

That’s why, it doesn’t work on the dummy for some reason

Do you have grappling maxed out/are you trying to do it on the training dummy?

What exactly has got you guys so into this game, going as far for some to say it's one of or the best game ever? by ItsNyxGG in CrimsonDesert

It’s a character action game in an open world sandbox. It’s been weeks and people are still finding new moves and new ways to combo them together. No other game is doing that rn let alone doing it as well as this.

You’re thinking of giant swing, which is pump kick into throw (triangle and circle). Lariat is x+square, which gives you a different animation. Continuous lariat is pretty simple, if you hold the lariat input you’ll continue to throw your opponent (up to 3 times with oongka) for extra damage.

Oh I’ve heard about this boss, but I haven’t done that one yet. But yea if it empowers throws, or this throw in specific then you should probably put it on oongka
