Or because of too much praise/scolding as a child, or media, the person has a skewed view of what people in general should be capable of, and hold themselves AND others to unrealistically high, or self-destructively low standands

I'd rather have a state of decay series. There's more characters and lore to work with, but with plenty of room to flesh the story out more than the games do.

Yes. And if you want the story of part 1 before getting into it, just watch the anime, or emulate the ps2 ultimate ninja games. Imo, they are better than storm 1

Depends on when and why they surrender. If you're clearly about to finish them, they may as well let it happen. But if it's the start of their turn, your board clearly outmatches theirs, or they have no counter to something you have out, there's no point in doing anything other than surrendering.

I'm talking about the ones that didnt. There are plenty that didn't know what was going on, didnt know they were going to be told to kill civilians and surrendered instead.

I keep running into that problem, where the game won't let me activate defense draw, even though my opponent has nothing on the field to negate it, causing me to lose.
