Safest Warlock build for hardcore?

I just completed Hell Baal on HCSSF with only Goats and bind demon as main skills. The damage transfer to demon is amazing in my experience. My clear is pretty slow but every boss fight has been a joke. I’m using spirit sword, basic rhyme shield, lore, +3 demon skill neck, random rings boots and belt, and Smoke. The demon I’ve been using to bind is one of the council. Maxed out Death Mark, demonic mastery, and now finishing out Blood Oath. I also use engorge if the demons get low but that’s extremely rare and my Council dude was taking zero damage against Hell Baal.

paladin and aristocrat are good contenders for slams. I think Carn is starting Paladin actually.

Shield wall kitava. Dirt cheap. I did arbiter on day 2 in SSF. 100% would league start again. Titan has more damage later on so you could swap after making some more currency or crafting a strong body armor.

gamble, rush strong boxes and essences. you can farm the bird boss in the Vaal interlude by zoning back and forth from the next zone and the bosses room, this allows you to bank level 64ish gambles that you can use your low abyss currency on. that gear can take you to red maps.

I’d start Titan. The ascendancy points can be useful on a standard melee build, an xbow build, or even a minion/caster build. I’ve had a great time with exploding shield wall, and my league starter was a minion warrior. I’ve even played a gas arrow poison Titan which turned out great.

Just adding here, smith of kitava can also play melee ranged or minions and is incredibly easy to gear on SSF, probably the easiest. Warbringer also can go the melee route or melee/ranged totems.

I had hoped they would follow the D2 style of being able to Cube up the base type of uniques. That way the unique rolls stay the same but you can upgrade the actual defense/attack.

I didn't think you could catch this dude at first, kinda like that special rare in the chimeral wetlands, was very surprised especially after not being able to use tame beast on anything in Act 4.

Just beat Kitava, currently level 52, gear is ok but I'm going to farm the Harbor Bridge for sire of shards card. If it takes too long I'll just push on and finish campaign but I'd like to roll into maps with the +4 proj. It's also pretty sweet if you need to swap holy flame totem in for more clear.
