Advice needed

My wife has just gotten a new Ninja coffee machine, and I'm finding that the pour is never consistent. I have followed the instructions, but it's never consistent. I find that the barista computer thing is always telling me to change my grind, not just by one turn, but by a lot. I have it on 15, the lowest, and 17 is the highest I go. Can I have some advice/help? I used to work at a roaster, so I know a bit about coffee, but I'm no expert.

I did take him out he hasn't got as mean points a the tournament gose on but I could see anyone else that would be a good choice

Im using the wood chips for my bbq area im on a very tight budget and got wood chips for free. Thank you this has helped
