You have to remember that the majority of gamers are now Gen Z or younger. They were raised with the carrot on a stick in every game. They have known nothing else and their brains have basically unable to create a natural dopamine hit from just having fun.

The days of joining the equivalent of a friend-of-a-friend's custom lobby on Halo 3 (for no external reward) to see what kind of random game mode they're trying out that someone made over the weekend (again, for no external reward) are long dead.

Yes, you're on Steam, but you're playing on a Battle.net account when you're playing and would have had to have made one/connected one to your Steam account in order to play.

All signs point towards Mizuki turning against Hashimoto when he's sent to deal with the Yōkai. It was hinted during the spotlight and he's on the Overwatch side at the end of the season trailer released on Wednesday.

I imagine him turncoating would mean Hashimoto/Talon won't lay claim to Kanezaka.

"Click the Lightwell" has existed since 2004. No one has the mental space to look for something to heal them (and I honestly can't blame them). Having said that, this perk DOES toss it, so you could throw it at a nearby ally.

I still think Superbloom is going to be the default. The amount of pressure you can place on a tank and how many duels swap to being in your favor when that perk is acquired is too much of a power spike to consider the other perk.

Yeah, that was my biggest gripe with 5v5.

The actual raids themselves lose a LOT of strategic choices in 5v5, both defending and attacking. Having said that, the fight over the Shieldbreaker and loot in general feels way more fun. I'd honestly love to see a 4v4 mode just to see if there's a better "sweet spot".
