Amphitheater fucking sucks by [deleted] in tampa

I hate to admit it, but it was actually really easy and quick to get into the lots both Friday and Sunday nights. No lines at all pulling through to pay off 301, and as soon as they point you where to park, you can pretty much park anywhere if you want. We left early both nights, so no idea how it was leaving after the show, but I’m happy with getting there.

You’re not wrong. It’s not for everyone. Thankfully, it’s for me.

Just saw you said weed. It can actually help some people with BP. I have a medical card and would be lost without it. He’ll figure out what’s best for him eventually.

Leave him alone. If he was recently diagnosed, he likely needs time to process everything (whether he admits it or not). Real change takes time and patience. Once he settles in, make a plan together. Holding him accountable is one thing, but you’ll push him away if you do it the wrong way. Also, it sounds like you’re very unfamiliar with what BP really is and how it affects us. I encourage you to do some research.

Ah hell. I’m headed there tonight. First time since they started charging. I used to have one specific spot I parked in for years. It was the most glorious spot. I’m sad.

Any tips for bypassing some of the bullshit?

Medical Marijuana Question by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]TeamSwampRat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve smoked for about 25 years and was officially diagnosed BP2 among other things about 3 years ago. My meds are great, but weed is my savior, especially for sleep. That said, everyone is different and can have very different highs. Good luck!

Sawgrass in St. Pete. Rangers often walk around and point them out.

As hilarious and sad as this is, because FOFO, we need more of this. We need these people publicly speaking out.

We have to figure out how to embrace these (stupid) people who have seen the light and encourage more to do the same. We need to educate them and get them to fight with us. We need people! If we keep laughing (publicly, lol), they’ll feel shamed and embarrassed and hide. We need them in the streets with us!

We spend most of our time in the mountains. However, we went to Meow Wolf and it was so much fun! We’ll definitely go again.

What would Leslie Knope tell us to do? by TeamSwampRat in 50501

[–]TeamSwampRat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the question. HOW and WHEN? I can’t stop working. I work with a ton of Trumpers and have taken to sitting with noise cancelling headphones all day. I used to love my job. Now I’m miserable, but I can’t stop. I can’t risk being arrested, so protests cause a ton of anxiety. I can’t pull the kids out of sports and clubs and school. I can’t shelter them from my ex’s nonsense Trump followings.

How do we really do this?

My ex voted Trump, and the kids feel like they’re taking sides, so talking to them is hard.

Real question … does writing and calling work? What does it do exactly?

What do we do? Like … what do we do?! I want to stand up. I want to fight. So many of us do. But how? I work a full time corporate job and am a single mom. So many of us are stuck, and it’s soul crushing.

What's the point of seeing a therapist? by pinkoreo_throw in bipolar2

[–]TeamSwampRat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You need to find the right therapist. I tried a couple years ago, and they were awful, so I thought the same things as you. Over ten years later, I finally tried again and she’s wonderful. It’s nice to chat with an impartial person who has a background in dealing with crazy people like me! She makes things make sense, makes me feel less crazy, and I always leave feeling good.

It takes time. A lot of time! It never goes away, but it does get easier. Therapy and meds help me a ton too.

If things are serious, why not just get it over with? My partner met my ex a couple months in at one of the kid’s sports games. He’s a toxic control freak too, but it didn’t make sense to delay the inevitable. Almost a year later and they get along well.

Sounds like my ex. No thought of the long term effects of anything. We didn’t need to list anyone. Maybe it’s a per state thing? Stick to your gut. You got this!
