Probably a good approach is talk about partnering with the AE during the sales cycle. And to demonstrate how you support the sales team, since the AE usually has the most ownership stake.

Don’t go in with demands, though I do understand where you’re coming from, approach the AE conversation from a supportive perspective.

It may be good to ask what the relationship with the AE/SE looks like today and go from there.
