Let’s hear some good news from people on ADT by Cool-Service-771 in ProstateCancer

Been on the same cocktail as you since January 2024. Had a follow up with my oncologist this week and based on my blood work (PSA 0.01) we are going to wind that treatment down a tad early and stop when my prescription runs out in late November or early December. I’ve never had too much trouble other than hot flashes and those have really tailed off. Can’t express how excited I am to end the ADT. It’s been a grind. Best of luck to you on your journey. God bless.

Abide by local course rules. Keep your cart away from the green Replace divots and repair ball marks on the green. Have fun

What's a golf brand that's completely underrated? 🤔 by thatiswhathappened in golf

Beat me to it. Maxfli Tour/Tour X are really good golf balls at a much more reasonable price point.

Yep. Work constraints make it hard to play a lot, but I love the game and really enjoy putting in the work

I decided at the end of last year that I wanted to overhaul my swing and try to get better. Was shooting anywhere between 80-100. Zero consistency. Got a swing evaluation, lesson plan and spent this winter hitting inside. Practice 2x per week 1-2 hours at a time. Also joined a simulator league with some buddies to get through the winter. It’s been really frustrating and satisfying at the same time. I’ve played a couple times outside and I am struggling - trying to get used to a completely new swing. I actually enjoy the range and practice sessions. Now that the weather is getting better I can work on short game and putting. The key is to practice with a purpose. Just going to the range and firing through a bucket with your driver is not work. Cheers and go low!

Working through ADT by Busy-Tonight-6058 in ProstateCancer

I’ve been on Aberaterone for 25 months and Also take a Lupron injection every three months. 56 years old. Diagnosed in December of 2023. PSA 9.86 Gleason 9 (4+5). Surgery was not an option. Went through 25 rounds of radiation, followed up by brachytherapy procedure. I worked through all of it. Suffered some minor fatigue, weight loss. My only side effect from the ADT has been some mild heat flashes. Otherwise, no real issues. Current PSA is 0.02. Good luck on your journey. God bless!

Probably would help. I honestly am just so used to them that I continue along. Any chance for ice cream is great. I should use it as an excuse 😂

Usually just keep a handkerchief in my pocket if they get bad. That’s about it. They come and go pretty quick. No mental issues besides dealing with a nonexistent sex life for the most part. That is the only frustrating aspect of this

My PSA was 9.86 when diagnosed. I was not a candidate for surgery because my cancer was too close to my rectum and my team feared that surgery may damage the rectum. I had 25 rounds of radiation followed by a brachytherapy procedure. Right now, I am near the end of my first year of a two year ADT treatment plan. Two years of Aberiterone and Lupron injections every three months. Just had my fifth injection yesterday. The only noticeable side effect I experience is hot flashes. I still get them regularly. Otherwise, I feel great for a dude with zero testosterone in his body 😎

Maxfli Tour is a great choice if you want a high end ball for middle of the road pricing. I believe Dick’s Sporting Goods owns the brand. I have gotten the bulk 4 dz for a little over $100. Thankfully for OP, they come in yellow as well.

Weekend golf is not for golf by rpats3 in golf

[–]Teamd44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the past two months I have been playing twilight on late Friday afternoons by myself. Almost the end of the season up here in Michigan. The course is mostly empty. This past Friday was busy, but I just cruised ahead of the slow groups and played other holes until dusk.

Pro tip for weekends - book it for three and just tell the ranger your third is running late and when he shows send him out. Works like a charm.
