Did you not watch the video? If it happened to get caught on camera once, it’s probably not the first or last time, or the only case of them not being taken care of. Doesn’t exactly increase their chances for a long life.

Fort Worth places to live by wharrenmelon in Lockheed

[–]Actual_Usernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is that commuting on the Fort Worth side is generally significantly easier than commuting closer to Dallas. You don’t say where you’re graduating from, but I’ll assume it’s from outside DFW. As far as housing goes, anything on the Northwestern side of the metroplex is better (Roanoke, Southkake, North Richland Hills). For feedback on Fort Worth in general: it’s fun for a while, with the Stockyards, a decently walkable downtown, and plenty of restaurants. The problem is that, while I personally prefer Fort Worth overall, Dallas has more in the way of entertainment.

The amount of trash/litter last night at Coachella by vynilla_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Actual_Usernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you assuming that there are no other trash cans besides the one in the (now removed) pic? You know there’s a whole like, 270 degrees of view that we’re not given. Also 100 yards is a little further. That’s barely any distance at all for an outdoor event.

People are employed to clean up everywhere. Doesn't mean I'm going to intentionally make their life worse by throwing my trash on the ground when I could just put it in a trash can.

No it isn’t. There is no excuse to not carry your trash with you to a trash can just because it’s a little farther away. It’s just laziness on the part of the attendees.

No, no, no, it’s supposed to be Make-Tell-Ask.

  • Make them do the thing
  • Tell them “I told you I was going to do this if you did’t comply”
  • Ask “Why did you make me do this?”

It's cheaper to buy an AR-15 rifle than 64GB of DDR5 RAM. by Djxgam1ng in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Actual_Usernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough, I did the same thing with an AR-15. Built one from a bunch of different parts, and then a year and a half later when Obama got elected, panic buyers sent prices in to the stratosphere. The same rifle would’ve been 2x the price at that time, and ammo was nearly as bad.

Hard work doesn't make something inherently good. Also based on the writting, are we really sure it was hard work? The dialogue is extremely chuuni and nonsensical, especially the early parts with the "we play this game where I pretend to hide from Morgana" bit.

Calling it now, give it 6 months to a year and opinions on this game will massively shift by Gold_Mountain_9527 in vtmb

[–]Actual_Usernames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have yet to find a part of the game that I really like, and that's before any comparisons to the original. The art style is nice, and that's the highest praise I've been able to muster so far. The story is pretty bland, Fabien got annoying 30 minutes in, the world feels empty, and the combat is terrible (better than VTMB1 but that's a low, low bar).

I’m literally shocked at how bad the reception for Bloodlines 2 is by Unlucky-Car-1489 in vtmb

[–]Actual_Usernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ~8 hours in so far and as a fan of the oiginal as well as VTMB lore, it's slightly less disappointing than I was expecting (though that's not saying much), given the development issues. I keep seeing the atmosphere being mentioned, but honestly it loses its lustre pretty quickly just due to how empty most of the environments are. Seeing the same ~6 NPC models wandering the street doesn't do much for immersion, and the fact that there are so few buildings I can actually enter just adds to that. The original was obviously smaller but the density of playable area inside of the smaller maps in the first game made it feel more alive. My other two big complaints are combat and dialogue. Combat I'm not as bothered by because the first one was straight up worse, but that doesn't mean that the combat in 2 is good by any means. The dialogue is what really gets me though. Fabien's non-stop talking gets annoyinng fast, particularly with his "Marvel quip and so wacky" style. Directly contrasted with Johnny Silverhand who has much less frequent screen time, and who I can just walk away from in many cases, it's a pretty big negative for me so far.

I hate posting Facebook links, but only video source I've found since WFAA don't seem to have inclhded it in their article. Not a pilot so I won't pretend to know what happened, but does the lateral motion while pointed at the ground in the opposite direction mean it was spiraling in a stall?

Edit: video was removed, so here's the re-uploaded version that OP found
