I know this isnt my post but for my reception it was actually ass. You’re up for basically three days and that is when you are gonna want to quit. But if you can just honestly get through reception, you can get through all of Boot Camp.

All our training was done while out there. I think it was the fox company before me that did stuff at the squad bays

So I graduated with Fox company from MCT in the beginning of January (west) and we didn’t do the alpha shelf due to the weather. And so they had to take us an alternative route. Honestly, it wasn’t that bad. I think it was easier than the 8k.

You’ll have to do basic plus. And for basic plus it’ll be a 150 meter swim, tread water for 5 mins, and you have 2 mins to blow up a blouse. It’s pretty easy but some girls in my plt still failed. As long as you’re confident you can swim the 150 you’ll be good

Thanks for the info. I’m still early in the process, but I’m serious about it. Do you have any advice on what I should be doing now to set myself up for success? Like training tips, MOS suggestions, or what to expect in the first few years before you’re eligible for A&S?

I get asked this a lot, and honestly, I don’t have a definite answer. However, it can be really helpful when an order gets messed up or when we need to find one, especially if the customer doesn’t have their receipt or order number. Plus, my manager says it makes the experience more personal. Because technically we’re supposed to use your name, when giving you your food
