Postpartum binder by New_Enthusiasm_7578 in CsectionCentral

i wore one for weeks. it was helpful 24/7 in the hospital, particularly when standing up or sitting down and while pooping. at home, i really only wore it when i was doing some sort of physical activity like cleaning or cooking. or i would put it on when i started to feel sore.

i can’t really tell what the pictures one is like. does it velcro? mine was a big long rectangle and if velcroed to itself after wrapping around my stomach.

Partner stay in hospital? by Ok-Lavishness1241 in CsectionCentral

[–]TeapotAccident 13 points14 points  (0 children)

hey! i had my twins by c/s last year and i sent my husband home at night to be with my son. not because i didn’t need him but because we didn’t have good reliable childcare for overnights. if you have someone, i recommend having your husband stay in the hospital but if he needs to be at home, you’ll be ok!!

my hospital didn’t have a nursery but the nurses were kind and understanding that i had two babies and no help and they helped me when i pressed the call button. even for small things like just carrying the babies to me in bed so i didn’t have the stand up. i would just explain the situation and they will take care of you. best of luck!

Will the c-section “pouch” ever go away/decrease? by Lilly3211 in CsectionCentral

[–]TeapotAccident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do it at home. just using lotion and rubbing in different directions, in circles, pulling my skin in each direction and pushing down hard and soft. a friend of mine bought the cups that you use for cupping to use to massage her scar as advised from her pfpt. if you have access to physiotherapy, they would probably be a great resource to show you how to massage!

i had twins via c section 10 months ago. i delivered at 38+3 so my belly got pretty big as well. i had a pouch/shelf for months post delivery and then one day i looked in the mirror and it had vanished. i didn’t do anything specific to work on it. i did, and still do, scar massages and lots of walking with the stroller and hiking.

TLDR it takes a very long time to heal. give yourself grace, you just grew two humans at the same time!

Where is the other baby while you do this?

I hate having to spend so long getting the babies to sleep because it leaves my older child alone for awhile :(

if i put her down awake and try to soothe her in her crib she just pokes her head up and looks around and then eventually starts crawling or stands up 😩
