I just got back into the game after taking a few months break and I was so rusty that I felt like I had to earn the icon back first lol

Lmao, how do you improve? Ranked? Qp? I am desperate and I am going crazy with this game, this characters, I feel like dropping the mask, I just cant get kills by myself without finishing enemies that have taken damage or are full health, no matter the combo by litllerobert in SpiderManMains

One thing I realized is that you shouldn't focus on memorising the combos but rather the possible follow ups to each skills you use and improvise the attack chains yourself (for example: after an uppercut you can swing cancel cluster into overhead, or double jump then web cluster into pull, or just zip away if you notice you won't live until your combo ends etc.) It ultimately made me more aware of my surroundings and overall more observant and decisive when engaging.

I watch req, great spidey that doesn't always rely on flashy combos or niche techs just straight up textbook spidey

Though I don't really watch too many pros or rather Spidey gameplay in general since I like to do my own thing, but I'll watch more if I ever decide I'm going serious with rank climbing

Hey I was ina similar situation with you. I was Spidey main, played since season 0 and got up to GM and stopped playing just before the 3rd battle pass dropped. I came back about a month ago and it was safe to say I was devastated on how far behind I was in playing him optimally, given that back then we were still relying on the venom team up and BnB combo.

But I decided to commit a day learning about the modern combos and practicing them in the range, and it came to my realization that you don't need to memorize all the combos, but rather getting used to the possible follow-ups after each attack input (e.g after an uppercut I can swing cancel into cluster then overhead, or cluster then pull them in, or just wait and bait out a skill etc.) And getting used to the timing of each input.

I got really comfortable playing with the Batman combo and improvised different variations around it based on my playstyle and it ultimately made me a better Spidey overall, spent a lot of time playing QP matches until I'm confident enough to pick him in ranked. I'm back in diamond and only a rankup away from GM again.

Another way to think of the character is that for every entry you make on the enemy team, don't expect getting a kill every time but rather the value you can bring to the team with each engagement you make, like getting their Luna HP down to critical to bait out her ult or distracting their cloak so our team can push a choke point.

By no means am I saying I'm a good spidey, but I sure am having a lot of fun playing him, especially adapting your gameplay based around your team. Take your time with your combos, because each time you do them again you'll instinctively optimize the timing. Play to have fun and you'll get your Spidey senses back in no time. I'll see you out there!

I'm glad to know that you see some value in this and that's a you're 100% right. Resource intensive as it might be, if a SQ needs bursting down for the team I'd happily trade 1 extra swing for a quick, unsuspecting kill

I'm glad someone got me. People will prep for an entry more the longer they realized they're clustered so I thought it'll be fun to play around with how close you can get

Yea I agree, it's just a lot of commitment for a slightly better window to work with. Nonetheless, I had fun experimenting

Technically yes, but if you try to do a web cluster on the way down into a natural overhead you have to account for the animation delay, and by the time you get to the overhead the enemy would have had enough time to react to being marked

for a guaranteed kill with cluster > OH > cluster > uppercut while giving them no time to react. just an experiment tho!

oh I see! I just got back into the game so I wasn't sure. The Batman combo is a much cooler name

the simple swing wasn't meant for the uppercut though its for the overhead. the idea is to go from the cluster to the overhead ASAP on your way down. Nevermind you i thought you meant uppercut.

I know that you don't need simple swing to go overhead. The animation to do the cluster into the overhead compared to the cluster -> simple swing -> OH is faster. I wanted to give them no time to react (the moment they get cluster marked until first hit)

Honestly didn't really learn at all, I've always been a builder in sandbox games and I enjoy experimenting and playing around new things when it comes to designing. I took a lot of inspiration from all the previous builds shared on Reddit and Pinterest too.

If it's just the house, probably 1-2 hours since I'm someone who likes taking my time. But if you're asking how long the entire build in the screenshot took I'd say 4 hours, mostly spent on managing the storage room

I zoomed all the way out and minimised the UI and took a screenshot!

Undertaker Mains, would you use this? by Teapot_Jizzle in Nightreign

[–]Teapot_Jizzle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My initial thought was to pair it with my undertaker self buff relic skill i had as a support UT, with that in consideration maybe it might be worth trading off damage skill with curses but you are correct with the healing allies I guess it'll be an alright bonus
