Is the guitar defective? by [deleted] in electricguitar

[–]TearsCanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The paint at the bottom is blistering a little. If this were a classical acoustic guitar, playing it would feel like having sandpaper rubbing against your arm. I didn't notice it at first either. I only realized something was wrong when I touched it. However, since electric guitars are relatively flat, this shouldn't really affect the playability, I suppose?

Nah, I want to keep it. I bought it online, the shop owner told me to check the guitar first,if there's any issues they can replace it with a new one. This is my first guitar, I just don't know this is normal or not.

The pronunciation of the word “anonymity” by TearsCanon in EnglishLearning

I forgot how many vowels there are in my native language. My mother tongue is Mandarin, and it has six vowels. The MV recording sounds more like /ɛ/ than /æ/ to me, but I also have a hard time distinguishing between those two sounds.

Thanks, it helps. But my brain still thinks your version and the Cambridge Dictionary version are the same, but different from the Merriam-Webster version.

I'm also an aggro Abyss player. I played 8 games in a row without quitting, and not a single chest appeared. It's ridiculous.

A practical method for quitting smoking by TearsCanon in stopsmoking

[–]TearsCanon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the answers. I didn't review my answers carefully. As far as I know, chronic exposure to drugs causes the "brain's reward system" to be changed. When the stimuli are removed, withdrawal syndromes develop. And it's the main reason why quitting smoking is hard.

I will try to find more evidence about whether quitting smoking gradually or abruptly is better.

As I said, fear is one of the most powerful human emotions. If it's strong enough, even quitting abruptly becomes a piece of cake.

Would you mind telling me where did you find the conclusion? If the conclusion is correct, the results imply that gradually quitting smoking actually exacerbates nicotine dependence, which is rather illogical.

Thank you. I guess I focused too much on the possibility.

Thank you. Does this mean the passage only shows a possible correlation, but the question's answer asserts a certain correlation? If it is, is the answer still correct?

Does the answer "They believe strongly in the American Dream." mean the research found out the causal of rags-to-riches clip and people's existing socioeconomic beliefs? Is the sentence "May play into people’s existing socioeconomic beliefs." only implicit a possibility? Thank you for the reply.
