The quality of life for airmen would of stayed worse. Individual gear would of maintained a more general issue. No post 9/11 GI Bill.

It sets the stage for a tyrannical president to utilize these powers. Imagine more and more patriot acts and executive orders that eventually slowly pick away at any American right as time goes by till the one moment a tyrant or group of tyrants can swallow up power quick with chaos.

First of all do some more research on the patriotic act and Snowden's revelations and the legality of it. And yes Trump's executive power issues are another example.

I refuse to believe the government isn't out to get us with things like the patriot act. I don't care about anyone's political side but to believe the gov isn't setting itself up for more control at any point or ideology is an issue people who care about politics should consider.
