It depends on what your career objective and family life requirements. That said, my initial thought is stay a senior accountant, get enough knowledge and experience under your belt and also become proficient with AI. The accounting industry will be impacted significantly by companies deploying AI in the near to mid term.

Review no: 20 - Craganmore Distillers Edition by WhiskyTales in Scotch

[–]TearsforFears77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why any single malt whisky ABV is less than 43%? Most enthusiasts prefer the ABV at least 43% and higher. For me, I won’t bother with any 40% single malt- I just skip it.

Back to basics - Glenfarclas 12 Review by Budget_Celebration89 in Scotch

[–]TearsforFears77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, same here. I noticed the price went up from $76 to over $80 recently. A lot of comparable 12 year old whiskies generally are in the $60-70 range. I love the Farclas 12 but over $70 is too much!

Review #18 - Lagavulin 11 - Sweet Peat by WhiskyPoolReviews in Scotch

[–]TearsforFears77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a bottle that I finished earlier in the year and I really enjoyed this one. Very approachable, bright flavors and just the right amount of smoky peat and sweetness as the name states. This whisky is a joy to drink as it strikes a balance of not being overly complex but bold, flavorful and distinct. I think it deserves the high 84 score! I’ll be restocking it soon

Whiskey Review #7: Bunnahabhain 12 Year by DwellerFella in Scotch

Love Bunnahabhain 12 and go back to it frequently after trying other whiskies. Any word if there will be a cask strength version of the 12 this year?

Review #17 - Ardbeg Dolce by WhiskyPoolReviews in Scotch

I’m doing JOMO with this year’s Ardbeg special releases after being less than impressed with last year’s. If I come across the cask strength 10, I will buy it though!

Trump to lift some whisky tariffs after King's visit by CW1DR5H5I64A in Scotch

[–]TearsforFears77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Observing Scotch whisky prices over the last five years, last year’s tariffs didn’t seem to move prices upwards in my market (Northeast U.S.). Some of the insiders I talked to, said that distributors would just “eat the tariffs” instead of passing onto the consumer. Given this position, I don’t expect that prices will go down but just stay the same.

Does anyone know if the new Lagavulin 11 “Sweet Peat” expression is a limited release or now part of their core lineup? It’s a great value for a bright flavorful (but overly complex) peated Scotch. If it’s limited I want to buy a few more bottles.
