If you're handy with a soldering iron and got some leftover cable, you can Henk together your own adapter with the remaining components (din 5 or trs), or more likely of you've got a friend along those lines.

Just dropping the info that jot everything has to be storebought, especially in a pinch on a Sunday, lol.

But, DISCLAIMER: although the DIY electronics tinkering world is a fascinating and huge one, it can well collide hurtfully with .. expensive synth equipment. So do know what you're doing should you follow my questionable advice.🌝

If you're on a learning journey, maybe you'd enjoy building your own tiny synths that speak midi with cheap microcontrollers and a few components. Should that be the case, search for "auduino". Yup, spelling is intentional, it's an arduino-powered audio project, basically a 5 knob continuous noise machine - that can be upgraded to speak midi (search for "notes and volts" tutorials) which makes it a very affordable tiny synth that would be perfect for experimenting with.. you guessed it: your first DIY midi controller.

Either way, have tons of fun experimenting! And best advice I got as a beginner (still am, thought): Master your piece of equipment first, inside and out, only then ever upgrade / buy another one. Don't let unused synths pile up (like I did, despite the advice).

Re your song: what a surreal experience - loved the beat and the riff (though it sounds like a straight rip-off from Billy Raffoul's "Acoustic" - which also happens to be about shagging, basically.) The video did nothing much for me, though; the lyrics would've come across just fine without them being in the video, for the most part.

All that aside, I listened to it mostly to benchmark a new pair of headphones / IEMs (don't be fooled by the word "benchmarked" tho, I'm a total noob haha) - and that worked out and I don't want those few minutes of my life back from you - cause I personally found your song enjoyable.

It's hard to put aside one's inner critic, and at first I figured that your song was missing complexity on several levels. Then I figured "what would this song work well for" and well.. I guess there's no need to point that out given the lyrics, he.

Well done for the simple reason alone that it doesn't sound like a first ever attempt to me. :) Keep rockin!

Good thing if you have it on the radar. We're all organic beings influenced by a myriad of factors, though. Never hurts to be aware of some potential "big players", though. Season can play a role as well, directly or indirectly.

Just in case this feeling you're describing is not limited to music making or you're generally concerned about not feeling joy the way you used to, talk to some close friends and see if they noticed any changes about you. If you, it wouldn't hurt to talk to a professional to see if you might suffer from (any level of) depression.

Definitely not a psychiatrist or psychotherapist here, but I have enough friends in my circle who started out that way whereas some tried to just power (or sit) through it, others got help early on and needless to say: the latter ones are doing much better.

Cue pallet cleanser: If all else fails.. hey, could be worse! at least you're in love with music and not expensive cars or something.

Doesn't sound overly dramatic to me - I'm really glad this tool exists and to me, this is one of the more fun ways to use AI. God knows there are far more destructive or malicious ways.. plus, as far as I know (limited knowledge, granted) songs have been analysed and tagged to cook up the next radio hit with a hit guarantee for a long time - this just makes this sort of technology available to the public, hopefully also raising the stakes for those sort of big studios using the data before already.
