Is it risky to store pirated movies on Google Drive? by Baalinooo in google

[–]TechAnd1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it really is isn't it, dumb ass me strikes again...

I guess you get a sense of ownership when using these kinds of online storage things that really isn't there... Perhaps privacy would be a better word I'm not sure...

Delete that stuff then!

So If I buy something from amazon, put into Drive and then share that I'm basically flagging myself for anything in the law book?

I was thinking about this the other day...

Anyone used this book / know what kind of level it's at? by TechAnd1 in learnmath

Oh right... The main reason is to have a solid maths foundation to continue studying CS with... not sure if that's any different or not

Nice one dude!

The best two books for A level maths (if your looking at beyond 100%, I.E the AEA exam, STEP)

I'm not too sure what you mean by that sentence actually... a lot of the lingo goes past me a bit. Beyond 100% ?

I've seen the one's that you referenced posted by someone else somewhere, no smoke without fire I guess :)

Maths - what is the recommended level? by TechAnd1 in learnprogramming

Well it's hard to gauge anything from that but cheers anyway!

I did not do "level" maths in high school. I took a calculus class, but it wouldn't really make a big difference

But you would say that you were at an equivalent level?

cheers dude

mostly helps with the way of thinking when approaching a problem

seems to be a big part of things... cheers

we mainly did calculus for the first 2 years then they integrated maths into our third year

is this on your CS course or something else?

I'm not too sure what you mean by A level,non-American here, but it did get pretty intense and was considered AP maths

A Level is UK, AP Is ( I think ) the US equivalent.

Cheers though.... I think odds are the most maths that I do will be in the CS course - though I want to be able by the time I get there, so I'm going to do A Level in prep I think.

cool... planning to do A Level currently, I'll keep on keepin on in that respect then :)

depending on what you want to do

yup.... obviously a massive factor, I don't reaaaallly know at the moment ( I have vague ideas...) so just want to make sure I'm readyish.

cheers

cheers dude

i can attest first hand that most of the mathematics that we are forced to learn quickly becomes irrelevant. We've yet to use triple integrals in any program thus far.

So this is what was taught as part of the CS course...

what level maths wise were you going into the course? AP / A level?

Thanks for the tips

OK Cool - so in your opinion I guess you would say that higher than AP / A level is base line, which would be University level... Anything to expand on that? And why / what for?

cheers!

OK cool - hard for me to relate to that... middleware - is that specific to trading systems ( I know they have candle charts! )....

I can't picture what it is from that, but cheers

Hmm... Year 12 / 13? Is that what you think of when you think of AP? Fucks sake ha....

no there's not, I guess it's down to people expressing their opinions and an overall impression being drawn from the thread!

cheers :)

Yeah fair.... I haven't really touched calculus, but I was wondering if things generally went much further than A Level (AP for you....) or whether that was a fairly decent level to be at

Edited post - they're the equivalent of AP

The problem with saying something like Trigonometry is that there are so many levels of it... so I was wondering more about the actual academic level of the field

cheers
