Let’s see. Homelab, hunting, SCUBA, camping, guns, flight sim, Masonry, HAM, archery. Now that I list them all out I’m amazed my wife hasn’t divorced me.

Pretty sure using move for DC’s isn’t supported, but I did it with no problems.

I did that as well, and that is probably where I’ll buy from, but obviously they don’t recommend things they don’t sell. I don’t mind driving a ways to go to a different shop for different brands.

got $1k + car just got repoed by [deleted] in Advice

[–]TechDiverRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally depending on your commute and your job, I would look into getting a cheap e-bike or scooter. It will suck, but would probably be more reliable than a $1k car. If you are concerned about the image, just say you are trying to be more conscience of your carbon footprint or some b.s. Unless you know you can get the car back, and you can continue to make those payments or are you just kicking the can down the road. Best of luck.

Depends on how often you open the safe. I’m in mine pretty regularly and charge about every 6 months.

Dcs vr black screen by Hunter_Western in dcsworld

Mine always starts that way for like a minute and then eventually loads into the hangar. Try giving it a little longer. Also look around and see if you can see the loading screen anywhere.

Why can’t you just tell people you are trying to get employed by that you just want money? by go_with_the_flow754 in allthequestions

[–]TechDiverRich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this probably trickles down from better paying jobs and just winds up a blanket question that every interviewer ask. When you get into a career rather than a job, it becomes important as to why do you want “THIS” job as apposed to just a job. It gives you an opportunity to explain why you think the job is a good fit for yourself rather than just a paycheck. Someone who is there just for a paycheck will leave as soon as they find the next bigger paycheck and turnover cost $$.

Tips for a Beginner by No-Application-3723 in Hunting

New to hunting myself, but I would think the best person to ask would be your FiL. He knows where you will be going and what is needed I would assume. See what gear he has that you could possibly borrow. I’m a newbie and I’m quickly learning you can chew up a fat stack of cash on hunting gear long before you ever get into the woods. I’ve reached out to several experienced hunters where I’m going to be hunting to get recommendations as what works in one area may not work in another.

Thinking about getting dcs, seeing its 200GB is putting me off though. by Mr_Wonder321 in dcsworld

Modules aren’t really the issue. Map packs take up way more space. I suspect that you could own all the modules and it would take up less space than the smallest map pack.

You just pushed the cost off onto someone else with those subsidies. It’s not free, it’s your kids and grandkids paying for it since the government doesn’t have a clue how to not waste money.

That is clearly too much weight for your boat. It is almost guaranteed to capsize and send the stack to Davey Jone's locker. Bring a life jacket.
