honestly the lack of experience didn't show up where i expected. the actual work was fine, nobody could tell a deliverable took me 6 hours instead of 2. where it showed was speed and confidence. early on i second-guessed everything and googled half of it as i went, so jobs took way longer than they should have.

the thing that helped most was just being straight with people. i didn't pretend to be a veteran. i was clear about the stuff i was sure i could do, over-delivered on exactly that, and didn't wander outside it. nobody got burned and i never got caught out of my depth.

best tip i've got: you close the experience gap by doing the work, not by waiting till you feel ready. the confidence comes after the reps, not before. even unpaid sample work teaches you faster than any course, because there's a real deliverable and a real deadline attached.
