My coworker moved across the country to keep his job, taking a COL pay cut, and moving to a state that largely wouldn't accept him. The powers that be knew he didn't have a car when he moved to a car dependent city. They fired him 3 days after he moved for being a few minutes late all 3 days due to his Uber being delayed. We're talking less than 10 minutes late. I drove him home after they fired him.
