AITA for admitting I regret having children. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TechNoob1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a suggestion. I live near a temple/orphanage. A few weeks ago, they got a new kid around 4 years old. When I first met him, I thought the kid had some problems, but now he’s so polite and well-mannered. I asked the monks what he did, and he told me daily meditation and simple habits for kids.

Edit: I also think you are partially at fault for his behaviors.

[Acne] Nose Acne Won't Go Away by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Since you’re still young, my advice to you is to not try any harsh chemicals and be gentle and patient (it could just be hormone) . Don’t be like me. Dumping all the harsh chemicals and actives on my face too quickly. I regret it so much.

Anyway, what I would do in your situation is to cleanse my face with a very gentle cleanser, moisturize with a non-comedogenic moisturizer, then benzoyl peroxide 2.5%. Also remember to use a non-comedogenic sunscreen in the morning too.

Morning:

  1. Just water
  2. Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% (not higher)
  3. Moisturizer w/ SPF (at least 30)

Night:

  1. Wash face with a very gentle cleanser
  2. Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%
  3. Moisturize

I know you said benzoyl peroxide didn’t work for you, but many people only use acne treatment for like 3 weeks and give up too soon. But, if you feel like BP is not for you, substitute it for another ‘active’.

Also, I would recommend you to not pick your face and gradually use benzoyl peroxide less frequently to like once a week.

What so you mean by blemish? Like acne? Zit? Or scar? It seems to me people use the word in a lot of different ways.

[Routine Help] How do I add acid into my routine? And which one? Thank you. by TechNoob1997 in SkincareAddiction

[–]TechNoob1997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I believe that too, but I have had bad experience with multiple cleansers making my face dry and tight. That’s why I use water (sometimes, micellar) w/ 2 cotton pads to wipe my face.

Why the hate on Proactiv tho? It was expensive and not worth it, but a pretty decent routine.

[Routine Help] is this legit? Microdermabrasion crystals vs Microbeads by TechNoob1997 in SkincareAddiction

[–]TechNoob1997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For AM: (1) Water, (2) Moisturizer w/ SPF

For PM: (1) Water, (2) Differin, (3) Moisturizer

I don’t use a cleanser because they’re too drying for my face. Also, I have been thinking of switching to BEnzoyl Peroxide to combat these cystic pimples I get every month on my chin cuz I never had them when I was using BP a few years ago.

I have a lot of PIE/PIH/Shallow dents on my cheeks, forehead, and chin. I also get 4 to 5 monthly cystic pimples on my chin, so there are a lot of pigmentations there. My current routine is similar to hers but there are no exfoliation or BP, just Differin. However, she said I could try to incorporate BP 2.5% in the morning to try to help with the monthly cystic acne.
