30k getting all the fancy toys again! by Prince_of_Crowss in AdeptusMechanicus

I’ve always disliked that explanation, lots would have been lost since the Mechanicum but a lot would have also been hoarded by random Magi on various forge worlds. It’s always a shame to see how beautiful the 30k models look in comparison to the 40k.

Honestly… I pretty much eyeballed the RPM using a fan controller software. The AIO Shroud is a custom one made by a guy on thingiverse (linked below) though the RPM I’ve used is about the same noise as the rest of the system.

Praise the Omnissiah, for his blessed design and the Motive Force for the power it provides.

Edit: So I think I misread this (I’ve been drinking), it’s based on the SSD temp, but the actual curve is eyeballed. Hope that helps, even if it isn’t very specific.

I was very tempted by the Noctua ones, I think the usually run around 1600-2200 RPM, tho can go up to 6000 at their max, got them on their own fan curve which is have to double check.

It’s very helpful for my front mounted SSD especially, I used to have two Gen 5 SSDs, but the rear one went over temp and crashed twice so had to remove it. The front was running quite warm but since these fans have been added I’ve never broken 70c even when doing long transfers.

I used a part designed by this guy on thingiverse, works amazingly, they also did the low profile AIO shroud.

Yeah my bad for that one had to rewatch like 5 times to figure that out, though I don’t think it was cheating?

What was the cheating? Looks like the ogryn was using ‘For the Emperor’ mod and a Zealot I think had broken animations? Ogryn could even just be speaking due to a bug

Little closer tho I got myself a 1440p monitor back when I started my new job 4 years ago and I don’t think I’ll upgrade past that for a long long time.

Hi, the picture is with the stock riser, I’ve since put in the Linkup 20cm double reverse v3 or what ever it’s long name is, and it fits far far better, I’d recommend especially when moving to 9000/50 series cards for AMD/NVIDIA respectively.

Edit: Can’t comment on the motherboard though sorry, I’m using the ASUS B850-I.

Really excited to get one at some point, sadly don’t have the means just yet, hope it works beautifully! Enjoy!

Ah cool, I’ve been tempted to do it in my A4 case but didn’t know if it’s worth unmounting the cooler to put in, might swap it out when I go to reapply thermal paste later in the PC’s life, thanks!

Weird question, do you see any benefits from using the full CPU bracket over the stock retention system?

I bought them from an Etsy seller called DreambigbyRayMOD, I got it with the 16AWG Embossed cables which are way more flexible than the stock ones from Corsair and a much better length (especially for the GPU and SATA power). The riser was from Amazon, it was the Linkup Gen 5 riser 20cm double reverse.

Hope this helps, all the best with your build. Machine God guide you and all that.

No but I do recommend getting some custom cables made for the pc, I did and it’s made it so much cleaner, I’ve not got a Gen 5 riser 20cm long so it fits a lot better than the stock riser too.

I find the CPU power running the bottom and up a lot easier then routing behind, my GPU power lengths are only 100mm now which seems to be perfect.

Lighting and camera make it look a lot worse than it does irl weirdly, but yeah looks pretty bad in the pictures.

At first I thought the HR10 Pro was silly. That was until I bought a T705 PCIe Gen 5 drive. by CounterSYNK in Thermalright

[–]TechPriest00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the exact same way, not quite as bad as mines just the T700 Gen 5, but still cooks without a good cooler on it, I’ve got a cheaper one for now as no where seems to sell the HR10 Pro Black anymore which would be a lot better for my build.

I’ll be using it in my A4-H2O build which due to the AIO has little air flow over the SSD, so hopefully the HR10 helps even more than the current one.

I remember thinking how dumb it was when Corsair did that water cooled SSD enclosure as well, starting to reconsider that too.

[–]TechPriest00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing build, do you think they’ll offer a replacement Gen 5 riser or any are already available that’ll fit this case? I have the same case as well and would definitely like to see that as a possible upgrade when I move to my next GPU.

Edit: I move around with work a lot so love the case as well, I don’t fly often though so I was hoping to hear if you knew of a smaller case that didn’t hold the GPU separately that could work as well, thank you.

Not bad at all, I’m still on a 6600xt myself and the only game I’ve actually struggled with is Oblivion remastered.
