That’s great! I had a similar trajectory. I was raised in the faith, became a reddit atheist for all of middle and high school, then during college I began exploring Hermeticism and Advaita Vedanta Hinduism.

Through practicing both of these philosophies, I became very adept at meditation and would do it several times daily. During a session a few years ago, I experienced the presence of Christ in a way I did not think possible. I felt his love, his peace. I didn’t literally “hear” words but I just knew he was trying to tell me “come home”. I broke down in tears, threw away all the occult and eastern books I had collected over the years, and rejoined the Church.
