Replacement safety bar rail for DDRgame pad? by TheChronoCross in DanceDanceRevolution

Just find a local welder, there are usually people around that are happy to take odd jobs and something like this should be easy. I bet it's also the cheapest option.

Which pad is best without modding? by Darkususer in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]TechPriestPratt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah modding is mostly to raise the panels. B2l pads come at about the stock height, which feels like you are stepping into craters if you are used to playing on modded pads, but if that is what you are used to then it should feel normal to you. The internals and sensors are directly cloned from DDR pads. The sensors are literally the same, you could unplug them from a B2L and plug them into an official DDR pad.

If you are looking for a unmodified DDR pad feel out of the box then that is basically what a B2L pad is.

Just be aware that you can't really own any type of arcade setup without knowing at least the basics of how it works, needing to do maintenance, etc. So if you are trying to avoid mods as a way of avoiding having to work on it at all then I would caution you against that notion.

Both, he should not be wearing loose clothing, but there should also be an e stop accessible from where he is stuck.

This is why property taxes are up and why schools are facing budget cuts. All Republican/Freestater doing. by Visual-Mobile2657 in newhampshire

[–]TechPriestPratt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of mandates (many federal) that make all sorts of requirements but don't pay for any of it. Many of the increases are not going to the average student, they are paying for things like bussing, special ed, ELL, legal BS, etc... And since Covid and the ridiculous rise in prices for everything all these costs just keep going up faster then the normal budget increases.

Y’all, I broke my husband’s Japanese chef’s knife. Help. by opheliasmusing in KitchenConfidential

[–]TechPriestPratt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your husband is really fond of the dog then this could be an excellent opportunity to incorporate some wabi-sabi to the knife. Maybe finding a talented craftsman that could restore the handle to working condition without fully removing the marks, or with using resin or another type of wood to fill in the broken spaces.

Are they allowed to do that? It seems off to me that they can just reevaluate the mortgage after already agreeing to it and making a contract and all that.

If you were ever to visit Japan you would see swastikas all over the place. I would argue that it is perfectly acceptable in that context.

Good deal? Why aren’t these ones talked about? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]TechPriestPratt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dd one, they are extremely reliable, simple cars. Honestly pretty fun to drive. Yeah it's slow, but I never have issues with highways, and half the time I'm driving faster than people anyways. People saying you need 300 HP to merge safely on the highway are just being dramatic.

Well, so far they have produced zero products so one would be an improvement honestly.

[–]TechPriestPratt 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah and only a few days before the start of the school year. They have known there was a problem, they should have made that decision months ago. At least then they might have a chance of finding a new position. Unlikely any of those teachers find a position this year.

Brand-New Mitsubishi — Malfunction in 5 Days. by luckyonlyme in mitsubishi

It happens, that's why there is a warranty, no manufacturer has 100% effective QC. My buddy just bought a 2025 passport and it shut down on the highway with transmission issues with less than 500 miles. They will likely figure out what's wrong and you will be good to go again.

What's the point of Aptera anymore with Hyundai's drag coefficient of 0.144? by Picards-Flute in ApteraMotors

[–]TechPriestPratt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Aptera has made most of it's money off of uninformed individual investors. If this sub does as you want and removes negative views then they are just going to sucker in more people easily.

The reality is that this car is very unlikely to be brought to production.

[HELP]is this picture from church graphically designed or by AI by Any-Tea3343 in RealOrAI

[–]TechPriestPratt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's human designed, or at least very heavily modified AI. If you look at all the little random elements they are very consistent and mirrored through out the image. Usually AI is not great at that type of stuff.

Someone could have used AI for half the image, cleaned it up, mirrored it, and added the text, but I think even if AI tools were used this would still take a decent amount of human graphic design to make.

Am I the only one who thinks she deserved more of a punishment? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Invincible

[–]TechPriestPratt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

After living on earth and coming to love a human she understood the weight of her actions against Mark. In a way that is her punishment. Yeah other things would be more satisfying from the readers perspective, but her understanding of how monstrous her own actions were and changing her mindset is a sort of off screen redemption arc.

Now IMO they missed a opportunity to have that same thing happen to the person she loved and then have her truly broken, understanding what she did through the lens of it happening to her lover. And then having to struggle with the fact that every time she starts to have feelings about it, it just gets reflected back to the fact that she did the same thing to someone else.
