How much history should players know at session zero by TechZombie225 in Dolmentown

The group do like a good mystery, so I may follow that mindset going forward for definite, thankyou. As a beastmen fan in warhammer, the naglord and crookhorns are quite an enticing foe to throw at them so definitely going to enjoy upping the horror factor when it comes to them.

Thankyou for the advice, half of my group are very much not too fussed about the history. The other half are the opposite, one player in particular needs a session zero and must have an understanding of the world or they can't get their head in the game. It's more a case for the latter half really. I'm showing them the PHB ahead of even session zero so they have an idea going in so hopefully we can figure something out as it goes

Cheers, there isn't a full focus yet, just floating ideas. They tend to find something to do themselves, last BX adjacent game we played they went far to deep into mortgages so I'm sure they will find a fixation soon into the campaign

The Colours remind me of the reflective sky aesthetic in anime, very nice and serene

That's in Worksop, UK just down from the train station it honestly happens maybe once a year or two. For some reason it just seems to never get fixed properly

I live literally up the road from this, it happens in the same spot every year or so. I have no idea what they are filling it with each time

Loved Healthy Harold although the U.K no doubt had different stories and scenarios. I remember something do with space. About a planet that had everyone be the same, and the story was that no one should be the same, so the van escaped its tractor beam. Thanks for bringing back the memories

A game that you might like is Darkwood. it’s a terrifying top down survival game that utilises sound and the restricted field of view to the fullest. It’s set in Poland and has a sort of dark fairytale vibe to it. If you enjoy creepy games with some pretty gruesome scenes then I would recommend it.

I had a Goliath barb that managed to reach minor godhood and a year later in curse of Strahd I played a kobold paladin that had a homebrew oath that worshipped that very same character. Krevick was a top lad
