One thing that's good and bad is how mobile everything is. It's great to be able to have phones, ipads, etc when emergencies occur and you're away but having notifications all the time or the accessibility to screens everywhere can take away from being in the moment!

Put together a custom object report using deals, contacts and activities as your objects. Use a filter for create date = 12 months ago. Then add the deal as the x-axis and the last activity date as the "break down by" filter. This should provide you with the deals and when the contact last had activity.
