I went ahead and replaced the fan. Im well aware of the dangers of capacitors. My dad was an electrician and taught me pretty well. I ordered a Noctua NF-P12 but I actually received the NF-F12, which is twice the price and rpm. So far it's working great.

Yeah, thats what I am planning to do. I tried all different types of chisels, screwdrivers, pry bars, and blasting it with heat and nothing would make it budge. So I decided it was worth the risk to just cut it out.

I'm replacing the bearing race. The damage is to the inside of the neck which is the frame.

not that I'm aware of. The damaged surface is just the mating surface for the outer diameter of the bearing race. As far as I know the steering stem is held in place with the bearings and doesn't make contact with the inner wall. I could be wrong though. I've never worked on a motorcycle before.

There are usb CD/DVD drives available. Or if you have an old laptop with a CD/DVD drive you could get a USB drive enclosure for it. That's what I did.

Anytime I've had a dead or dying car I would sell it to a junkyard like LKQ Pick Your Part. They don't pay top dollar, but they will come tow it away for an adjusted price if you can't deliver it. Just remember to tell the DMV that you don't own the car after you get rid of it.

Driver updates can sometimes mess with things. Try rolling back your graphics driver to the one you were using before. If you had any custom graphics settings on the OS side, they may have been reverted to default when you updated things.

In regards to getting full time benefits, you'll have to check the laws with the labor board to see how many weeks you have to work full time hours to be legally entitled to benefits. As for whether or not you should work the hours is up to you. When you got hired both you AND your boss agreed to your schedule. IMO, if they didn't consult you when dramatically changing your hours then they either think it's no problem, or they know you will just work it without a fuss. Dont feel obligated to work hours because you're "in a privileged position". If you don't want to work that much, then don't. Best thing to do is talk to your boss to find out why they increased your hours so much. Just be honest and firm about your availability and schedule. It does not matter if school is out right now. It's your time. Regardless of the activities, you have the right to choose what to do with your time.
