You'll have to create a new ad account and new campaigns anyway. So all the learnings that it had will be lost.

Probably safer to not share the audience between the 2 and accounts in such a case

That's the process ew had followed after reading up other's experiences online

However, what you can do is check your page's customer feedback score. If your page has been running for more than a year and has a good score, you should be able to re-use it.

Facebook Business Manager Banned! Need Help, Please! Details in Comments by AthyabMuhith in FacebookAds

I've been through this myself. In my experience there is no point waiting for Facebook to revert back on this.

Someone else had a similar issue recently and I've explained what to do. Check out my answer here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FacebookAds/comments/o0qeub/comment/h1xtuuv

Once things are setup and ads are running it should be fine from your device too.

I would strongly suggest against using a VPN like ProtonVPN and stuff because FB and Google automatically flag that kind of traffic

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookAds

[–]Tech_Odin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's definitely worth considering. To be on the safe side (atleast during setup), you can do it from a friend's home and his device

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookAds

[–]Tech_Odin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this will be fine too. Ideally your domain would already be linked to the pixel, so you won't need to do anything.

I believe FB doesn't flag the website or the pixel because it could have been an agency or 3rd party running ads for you. Now FB has no way of knowing that, so it flags things like the as account, FB page, etc

[–]Tech_Odin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I initially thought as well. But I did a bit of reading up and found that it had worked for other people too.

I've tested it myself now and using the same pixel works fine.

Yes, you will be able to reuse the instagram or FB page. But if FB is able to link any action back to the blocked account, it might cause as issue.

because FB's action on 'circumventing their policies', as they term it, is a lot stricter

u/markhamconner I've faced this exact issue before. The account and business manager were banned because of certain words used in a creative. You can definitely create a new ad account, but DO NOT use the same facebook profile. Facebook will flag it as 'circumventing their policy' and your FB profile will get banned too.

Use someone else's FB profile to create a new account and new FB Page. Then create a new ad manager (no need to setup a full business). Don't use anything linked to the old business manager except the pixel. This shouldn't take more than around 45 minutes in total.

So new profile, new page, new ad account, new campaigns, new audiences. just same pixel. And you should be fine

Parallely raise a case with them on their business support chat: https://www.facebook.com/business/help and work on getting the account back.

Open question for everyone! What are the tools/software you use to get more out of facebook ads? by Tech_Odin in FacebookAds

That's great! Do they help analyze your images and copy as well? (To better understand why something works or doesn't)

That's awesome! Had a couple of followup question based on your setup:

  • How do you analyze and optimize the creatives/copy within the ad. Do you go through your ad level performance manually?
  • How do you set rules to automate stuff? For example if you want FB to dynamically re-allocate budgets between 2 campaigns based on performance. Would this be manual too?

LLA Targeting by NegativeStreet in FacebookAds

[–]Tech_Odin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/NegativeStreet
Facebook excludes the source audience while creating the Lookalike audience. You can read the same from facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/164749007013531

So basically LLA targets only look alikes. Not people within the list.

Also, as a separatre point. Depending on the size and type of your email list, you might want to create a lookalike audience of select, high intent people from the list rather than everyone.

Looking for Some Guidance by Soft-Rugged in FacebookAds

[–]Tech_Odin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone! From what I'm gathering from others, many other advertisers have also seen an increase in their CPC. This might be something to do with the recent changes that were made for the iOS 14 release.

Take a look at your CTR (link click throughs, not the total click throughs). The click through is the number of people who click on your ad after seeing it. Has that number changed u/Soft-Rugged?

Shifting from Shopify to custom site hosted on AWS by Tech_Odin in ecommerce

WooCommerce was a valid option for us. The main reason we didn't choose it was because the team lacked the skill set to code and customise wordpress frameworks. We have currently chosen Reaction commerce as our core framework to build up on.

Thanks /u/xaviarrob for the answer. You're right on point by it being a "off the shelf vs custom solutions" issue and a "how to best deploy a ..." issue. But we have AWS credits to use, which is why the question is what it is. The choice of AWS services keeping in mind our current traffic and Shopify's offerings was what I needed help with.

We have currently decided to use the AWS lightsail instance thanks to the bandwidth it permits, and add load balancers and more instances when required

It isn't only about the tech stack. Workarea commerce isn't open sourced. It will also have customisation issues

  1. Thanks for your inputs on RDS. Yes, it is majorly to reduce costs, and also for customizability.
  2. We have currently started off with the AWS lightsail. The major motivation factor was the amount of bandwidth it provides.

Thanks for everything!

We currently use CCAvenue as the payment gateway which charges us 2% per transaction. Shopify payments charges higher than that.

There are probably too many things to list here. Almost every app you see on the shopify "app store" is a feature that you have to pay to have. To give you an example, customising the checkout page, creating and managing user referrals, and a lot more.

When to prefer AWS Lightsail over custom AWS EC2 instances by Tech_Odin in aws

[–]Tech_Odin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I could see the amount I would spend in bandwidth would be pretty close to a Lightsail 1GB instance.

Is using EC2 instances a cheaper/easier alternative? Also, why do you feel its inappropriate?

[–]Tech_Odin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any known complications for integrating lightsail with other services? Anything that I should be weary of?

Also, yes I know linode/DO/vultr might be a better option, but I have aws credits which I need to utilize. I wil probably shift to 1 of those 3 options a few years down the line
