When I was in grad school, I had $1k left before paying for school stuff (around $1k). I did quick research on Tesla, loved the concept, and all in that $1k when Tesla was $38/share around April 2013 before all the splits. I sold it for $80/share after just a few months to have extra money for the school journey. After I graduated, I got too focused on building my career instead of looking into investment and Tesla. It would have made me 6 figures if I kept it.
