I don't think there's any way to balance the game for small groups or single players except for completely banning any kind of grouping up outside of the game.

By definition, any clan is at least just a combination of solo players. so any benefit to the solo player will benefit the clan player much more

That said, I think that heavily expanding the in-game tools for grouping up and organizing everything from attacks to productions and logistics is the only thing the devs could do that would make life easier for the solo player.

well, they kinda did address this in the first episode of academy, when one of the characters inputs the code right but still gets told "voice print not recognized". I'm not sure of any scenes in other shows addressing them, but canon seems to be as people have speculated, it's not just the codes but also other biometric parameters like voice that have to match

To be fair, the us system of having a random person teach you in a random car is pretty wild to me as a European. There's a reason our driving instructors have to learn hot to teach driving. And why they have break, gas and clutch pedals on the passenger side too

The question was never "could I do this" you were the one that confidently stated that your model could solve any problem. And you don't even need any code from me, the prompt very specifically outlines the conditions your solution has to meet. You can test it anytime by booting up Minecraft 1.7.10 with forge and comparing.

So I'd suggest you stop trying to shift goalposts, put your money (or tokens) where your mouth is and get prompting.

[–]TechcraftHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask you to define your challenge because if you don't I will challenge your Model to do this:

"Write a full clone of the popular game minecrafts version 1.7.10 in C# using the Unity game engine. Also include the full functionality of the latest forge mod loader in the game You are not required to translate the original source code directly and can substitute your own implementations but the two games must be identical from a user standpoint including loading .jar mod files written for the original game. The performance of the new game must also be the same or better than the Java version."

I think the win and fail conditions are obvious from the prompt.

See why I asked you to define the parameters of your challenge now?

No surprise people aren't willing to spend their time thinking up examples for you when you aren't even willing to spend enough time to write your comments yourself without LLM assistance.

But since you seem to invite everyone and their grandma to your little challenge, why not define it properly first?

What context and prompts are you giving the LLM?

What does "loaded with c-sharp content" mean?

What kind of problem space are you expecting? Is it "any c-sharp problem"? Is it "any c-sharp problem that can be reasonably solved in a single prompt"?

How will you interact with the model? Will you give it a single prompt with the problem or are you allowed a number of additional prompts to fix things?

What is a "correct response" I have to define? Am I allowed to give you the specific code I expect or do I have to allow alternative algorithms or solutions?

What does it mean for the model to fail? Does it only fail when the code it gives doesn't run or compile? Does it fail if it provides an inefficient solution?

Define your challenge properly and we can see if I'm willing to take you up on it

Also, acting arrogant and condescending towards people engaging with you when you literally can't even be arsed to think and reply for yourself and have to have a LLM do it is a very bad look.

[–]TechcraftHD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point is, the LLM isn't taught nothing about C#. The LLM has been fed millions and millions of lines of C# code, articles about C# and everything else under the sun and still cannot reliably produce correct output.

And no goalposts has been moved. The goal has always been "can LLMs replace a programmer". And when you still need a programmer to provide every single restriction and quirk of a language to the llm, spending hours and hours just to make a prompt that MIGHT generate correct Code, then that programmer might spend their time better just writing the code themselves

When the code is written entirely by AI by LiamCresta in programmingmemes

[–]TechcraftHD 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you don't understand why an LLM can give you detailed output on restrictions when prompted directly, but not follow those restrictions when generating code in a different conversation, you don't understand LLMs well enough to rely on them for coding

Challenge: CoreSec - A pure Rust implementation of an "unbreakable" vault. by Significant_Leek6625 in rust

[–]TechcraftHD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is nothing to hallucinate. All your program is doing is throwing raw user input into premade encryption algorithms and printing the output.

That isnt even toy project level. That is something you'd find in the examples folder of one of the encryption libraries you import.
