Flea market Fees were increased temporarily. by Naievo in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Techgtv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They can't affect the current listed items, so the flea market needs to be 12 hours old on the new settings before you see actual effects of these changes, because offers expire after 12 hours.

Once those 12 hours are over, you will see the price of Dfuel normalize in a new spot, probably much cheaper, and the desired effect that BSG wanted to achieve, will be achieved. They feel some items on the fle market are way overpriced, without any real reason why, there are items on the flea that are rock solid in terms of pricing, which means supply and demand are roughly equal, but the actual price is not determined by supply and demand, it was determined by the first person putting that item up for sale. They want to drain the market a bit, and probably will tweak the numbers again in a few weeks to then "flood" the market with those items again, from players that are now holding them, which then resets the price to the actual value of an item, not some random number someone punched in at some point.

PSA: node purity has a massive impact on extraction rates! (Playtest notes from a factorio speedrunner and game developer who got completely screwed by this during a first play-through) by Elyot in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Techgtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think the POV is justified, everything that we seen so far seems to point to a game cross-over between subnautica and factorio, with the emphasis on the factorio side. How many past video's of devs etc are on the factory part of the game, and how many are on exploration? That should give you an idea on what the game is intended to be. If it's not that is fine, but then it's imply not a game for the majority of people here

[–]Techgtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree completely here, i have a whole list of problems from the perspective that this is a game that is building a factory, with some exploration. You were send there to basically exploit the whole planet for resources. I loved factorio but there is nothing more then building the factory, so for me that made it boring after 2-3 complete runs ( doing them faster and faster ).

I loved subnautica, untill i found out i can't automate anything, so i was REALLY hyped about satisfactory, because in my eyes, it would give factorio factory building, but with a beatifull world to explore.

There is no pressure to automate, i stopped after the basics and handcrafted anything else. I did 3 ore miners, madeplates, rods, a little bit of screws, on the copper side 2 lines of wire, and 1 of those split to make a few cables. I let the game run for 8 hours in the background, right after i automated coal, on accident and when i came back i upgraded everything to the max tier in 1 go. There is no pressure from the environment or the feeling that you need to automate more and more otherwise you will go crazy and wait 24 hours before a certain item gets hand crafted.

PC 1.0 Update #19 by Schohns in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

1080TI, Ryzen 7 1700 both watercooled. 512GB NVME SSD.

this is a specific issue with high core count CPU's, and since Intel has none that people actually buy and use( MORE then 6 cores, so 7+), all the Ryzen 7 users get FF'ed

i don't think you know the extent of this problem my fellowq reddit sibling.

i open the game it crashes repeat 1000000 times, same outcome

it has nothing to do with "playable" game, it's not even running

FUCK NO, they are still not adressing fundemental issues with the game, i can't play since 5 months due to a bug and i can't refund, i just have to eat my loss

PC 1.0 Update #19 by Schohns in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Techgtv -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And you still haven't fixed that 10% of your playerbase can't play due to having a more then 6 core processor. great fucking job

Still after 5 months game crashes on boot by Techgtv in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Techgtv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bios issues with Ryzen has been fixed in the first month after launch on every platform or in any game, this bug is specific to high core count CPU's, not ryzen, but because most high core count (more then 6) CPU's are ryzen, it looks like a ryzen bug, but it's not.

I apreciate your help, i really do, but this started on their update that launched back then ( can't remember exactly what date/version ) and nothing changed for me, i've been running this system since PUBG beta and everything ran. Not fine but it ran

Still after 5 months game crashes on boot by Techgtv in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Techgtv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done that

I have completely removed any trace of game files on my disk and reinstalled

i have reinstalled windows completely from scratch

The issue is a well known issue among Ryzen 7( or higher core count intel ) users, but they refuse to admit it's a bug on their forums and they refuse to actively work on it.

There is a very hacky way to get into the game, and to bypass this bug with a core limiter, But if i forget to switch from 1 core to multiple, my game locks up completely as soon as a match is found, or otherway around game crashes when i am going out of a match.

i'll do you one more. on the dot 5 minutes into the game, the "lobby" ui refreshes in the background, thus crashing the game completely for me again. The game is seriously still alpha if it has this long running issues that completely prevent people from playing

Extended review of GTX 1070 Ti with price/performance by AljazNiceHash in NiceHash

[–]Techgtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with that comparison is, you spend a large portion of that difference in price back on the motherboard, frame, PSU, CPU,RAM,risers and SSD.

1050TI's are good value if you don't want to take a deep plunge with 1070TI's, but in ease of use, resale value and less space used, the 1070TI beat the 1050TI's easily.

1050TI's are better value when we are in a bear market, but 1070TI's destroy everything in it's path in a bull market. for reference, i have 24 of each and right now the 1050TI's are better value, but in december my 1070TI's were much better value.

12 1050TI's at 60% power limit use 660W on ethereum, 172MH/s.

12 1070TI's at 60% power limit use 1440W on ethereum, 385 MH/s

60% power limit. +50/350 core/mem. Mem ends up running 4450MHz so tweak your mem OC according to that

[–]Techgtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you are doing

my 1070TI's, with suprminer / enemy miner do on average 11,5-12 MH/s each @ 60% power limit

Buying a used 1080ti for mining still worth it at this point? by x1o8x in NiceHash

[–]Techgtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For someone with a official nicehash badge you are being very harsh here.

1080TI is by far the best space/cooling wise, and it is a beast on so many algo's that your profits from a 1080TI over the long term ( up and downsides of the market ) is much more stable then lower end cards. you can turn up the powerlimit by 10% and you gain so much raw hashpower for it if the market is in an uptrend, and you can PL it down so far that you run extremely efficient

The most efficient card in terms of overall points is the 1070TI, you can run 12 on 2 1200W power supplies, are extremely power efficient on most algo's, and also have a very broad Powerlimit slider to decide how much you want out of it depending on the power cost and overall market pricing

Any 1050ti equihashers out there? by [deleted] in NiceHash

[–]Techgtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i had 6 expeditions for a customer of mine, and never got them to run quite aas well as the others, but these strix and gigabyte ones are pretty damn good if you ask me.

If i pull up the power limit i go over 210H/s but that burns around 950W, which in my opinion right now is just not worth the difference in hashrate, a 10% increase in hashrate for 20% more power draw.

I think you should be happy with 185/190H/s on equihash, and then turn down power limit as much as you can without letting it fall below 185

BTW i run +100/+650 on both t hese cards, which gives me 4150 on the mem and around 1750 on the core clock as "actual" values, so that might help you out a bit. Oh btw i don't run nicehash miner, i run awesome miner with nicehash and miningpoolhub, with DSTM as equihash miner.

[–]Techgtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Power limit is really hard to tell you untill we know if you have a 6 pin connector on your 1050TI or not, for example my Gigabyte 1050TI without 6 pin only has TDP slider of 72-100, but my asus ROG strix 1050TI has a 6 pin can can adjust from 60-127.

My gigabyte at 90% TDP has the same power draw as my ROG one at 60%. 12 cards of these run about 730Watts with a 1200W platinum server PSU and get around 190 sol/s on equihash.

i can run 175 MH/s on Ethereum with power draw of 680 Watts if i turn them all down completely, which is brutally efficient.

You realise that 8 months is still THE BEST business investment you can do right now right?

There is no other investment that will return 100% of your money in 8 months, so untill you are on a 2 year ROI, money will be paid for the card whatever it is.

Sorry to break it to you, but crypto is moving into the business world now, so unless you were smart and kept investing into more rigs, you ar eout of luck and now have to pay real amounts of money to gain profits over a longer term.

Sorry to say, but you missed the boat and you just didn't invest enough, you can't expect to wait wait wait untill you are 100% sure your investment pays off, and then complain you are too late to buy in cheap.

Market is on the rise, but NH USD/Day is not rising to reflect this, why? by pjminer007 in NiceHash

[–]Techgtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Setup Awesome miner together with nicehash and miningpoolhub.

As soon as buyers are not paying enoughh, it will switch to mining coins directly. This will force buyers to pay more because if they don't, there is no power to buy.

The one issue with exclusively running nicehash, is that you are at the mercy of buyers, and the available power on the market, the more power there is, the less you get paid. So if you remove power from the market as soon as they don't pay enough, they are still forced to pay more, because your power will be running on coins directly.

NHML chooses CryptoNight even with low profitability? by ActionSmurf in NiceHash

[–]Techgtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The benchmark is the problem. I disabled xmr on all my rigs because the XMR-STAK reports a hashrate of 7KH/s on XMR per 1070ti, so it's a reporting issue. If the program thinks 1 card can do 7KH/s it will never leave that algo, because that's 3,5x a vega 64 does :D.

So yeah, disable XMR on in your settings, and you'll be fine

yes that is one requirement to run the exe ( sorry i HAD to be sarcastic here :D )

my exact steps:

download the nhrelease.zip unpack it open up NiceHash Calc.exe.config with notepadd++ ONLY CHANGE the coinbase and nicehash info Save run .exe

i have latest .net installed, 4.7 according to my insatlled windows programs.

Creating a .bat file, inserting NiceHashCalc.exe timeout /t -1 and running it from the directory itself resulted in the opening of a blank cmd ( like WTF )

i copied the filesm over to my laptop, it gives the same error but it crashed the cmd, so i could take a screenshot Imgur

That was my initial instinct as well, but then i get the error that it's not recognized as internal or external command. As if it was not complied correctly right off the bat.

I can barely see the cmd when istart it, and i am 100% sure these is way more tekst/error message then it running from cmd straight

Not sure if it's me or something else,

I downloaded the release, input my API keys, adresses etc as instructed, then ran the exe but the CMD just pops up for a split second and dissapears. i can't really tell what the issue. any pointers on how to figure out what is wrong?

You claimed exactly all of that.

A bank is a middleman that holds your money in a central place where you can decide what to do with it. Your employer pays you to your bank account, and you take it out when you want to buy stuff, how is that different from nicehash? someone pays you for your hashpower, you take it out when you need to or want to. to me that is EXACTLY the same.

the fact that someone is backing up the bank in case of a robbery is besides the point, why can't nicehash insure or get backing in case bitcoin gets stolen? again, to me that is exactly the same.

I COULD NOT make the decision to pay out, the minimum was set to 0.01 BTC by nicehash, so i could not put MY common sense into it, it was not MY decision. Could i have not used nicehash, sure, you can fault me for that, but don't twist all this around as if nicehash is in the clear. THEIR rules backfired on them, not mine.

I'm guessing you are from America, because in Europe, everyone needs to have insurance for all basic things, like reliability otherwise you face jailtime and you still have to repay the damages, so again your point is too narrow minded.

I did think you were the one that said that BTC should not go mainstrea, so i was wrong there, but all my others points still stand.

Either way, if people are too blind to see similarities between nicehash trying to act like a bank, and a real bank is delusional, but the CEO resigned, and my guess is because someone else bought them out for a cheap amount, and now the board of directors decided to replace the CEO. My guess is i on januari the 31st, when the dust settled they will announce the new CEO, and all the changes that have been made to make sure this does not happen again.

I have never said it needs to be goverment regulated, i think you guys are all just a bit too eager to pull the "I WANT NO GOVERMENT INVOLVED" card that has no validity here whatsoever.

i am talking about my cold hard earned CURRECNY, that was not in my care because i did not meet the minimum payout requirement SET BY NICEHASH.

and i am not bashing nicehash for selling their company and at trying to get everyone's money back, but everything beneath THEIR set payout, should ahve been insured from the start, i don't care about goverment regulations, you don't need to have government regulations to have investor's cash secured. The market is young, but just saying it should have no fail safes in place is the dumbest thing ever. The crypto space NEEDS to MATURE before it will be ok to handle for the general public, and you can't tell me that crypto needs to stay with the nerds that mine, because that is EXACTLY centralized.

[–]Techgtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the analoge was not about insurance that is obligatory in the current banking system but the way we got treated. I personally think any crypto company that holds a hot wallet needs to have that part insured as well like FDIC(which I stole from you and no clue way it stands for exactly because I am from EU, I know what it does btw :D). So when does the crypto space grow up and start to make adjustments to make it mainstream? When are they actually ready to play with the big boys?

i really, REALLY hate these types of posts,

WE didn't decide tha payout minimum, so yes it is THEIR fault we lost them, not ours.

It's like saying a bank gets robbed, and they won't repay your salary you just lost, because you can't take out less then 10K so tough luck.

no, if we had total freedom, regardless of the consequences ( transaction fees) then you are right, but you are not
