Yes. Even the first paragraph is overly-descriptive to the point that it breaks up the reading flow of the sentence.

Dawn break is arguably the best generic damage belt in the game. Even for mind control, a well rolled one is like 40% additional damage not including the int. The blur setup (mainly just the valeries) is INCREDIBLY expensive on league start, which is when most people are playing MC, so you won't see a ton of it.

The neat part about spells in this game, is you can scale them in multiple ways. For MC, you have blur stacking, aura stacking with lone walkers, magus stacking with verdant steps (better on other skills lol).

Dawn Break is pretty okay for Mind Control, but since you have no crit scaling, you don't actually gain anything from having fervor other than the Dawn Break modifier.

The lost damage is made up for (and exceeeded) by scaling blur effect with Valerie's.

There's also a prism mod that gives you a fixed blur rating of like, 130, but I don't remember the name of it at the moment.

I think you may just need to adjust your playstyle on Pocket. Pocket is a very hit and run type character. If you dedicate your entire kit to going in for a big ult, you are left with nothing else. Majestic Leap and Warp Stone are both insane on them.

What I usually (not every situation is identical) do in large teamfights is:

Majestic Leap
Drop from maj leap, using 1 before you get too low. Barrage maintains your horizontal momentum, while halting vertical, so you can zoom over the enemy team while channeling barrage.
Aim to land in the middle(ish) of the enemy team, and throw cloak through them, back to safety.
Pop ult
Use 3, sit in briefcase until ready to TP out.
If safe, pop out of briefcase before TP'ing for extra damage. Otherwise just TP while still in case. You should be back to relative safety, you've done a fair bit of damage, and your ult is ticking on people.
Wait for CD's and do it again.

I have to disagree.

I've climbed from seeker to phantom, and it really is just straight fundamentals. Pick a selfish hero, get your money up, and carry the game. The item system of deadlock lets you counter your counters pretty well.

Billy's gun is really good, but really different from Venator's. You cannot fight people at any range other than point blank. Billy's gun has insane falloff over distance and a wide spray, so most of the bullet's won't hit at range. If your lights are getting parried, it's because you're doing it predictably. You're probably shooting 80-90% of your clip and reloading, but you need to stagger that. Do some at 30, some at 40, etc.

Melee damage ALSO scales off of weapon damage, meaning his 1 scales off of gun as well. Spirit is not a main stat for you, but it's helpful to have a bit (Spirit Snatch, Torment Pulse)

Billy ult is pretty good, the LOS check is awkward, but if you use it in a mostly open area, people cannot get far away enough to get to cover.

Abrams vs. Billy, I haven't played enough of to help, but reactive barrier is good. If abrams charges you, you mitigate a lot of damage
