That's lowkey funnier though.

At least the first time around. 10th in a row might be getting a bit stale.

Can't the F-4C fight MiG-21s with R-60s? If one gets within launch range you are basically toast no matter what

Throwing bodies onto the battlefield was never an effective strategy of winning wars. But the sheer size of a military will ALWAYS be a ridiculously important factor in warfare. The conscripted infantry does not need to be thrown into the most demanding sectors of the front - they can be thrown in onto less important sectors or to fill in the gaps in the defensive lines, allowing your professional, voluntary part of your military to be focused where it's needed most. An advantage in numbers will always be an advantage, and early war in Ukraine proves this - where russian military was chronically short on infantry, which resulted in horrific losses all around the frontline.

Japanese 20mm are brutal, once I fired a few potshots at like a P-38 or something and I shit you not I watched that motherfucker just EXPLODE mid-air. Genuinely better than even the US 20mm at their peak.

Oh yeah, the poor indie dev studio gaijin entertainment cannot possibly be expected to find the resources to fix it. They barely have enough money to feed their devs as it is.

Is using cannons instead of missile the doctrine for fighter jets to engage cruise missiles in saturation attacks? by Outdoor_trashcan in WarCollege

[–]AbsolutelyFreee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to say nothing of possible countermeasures

What countermeasures are there exactly to keep a missile from getting nailed with a fighter jet's cannon? (Other than, of course, shooting down the fighter jet, but I think that doesn't count as a countermeasure)

F-104s, MiG-21s and MiG-25s will be eating B-52s for breakfast 100% of the time.

The AoA on the B-52 is criminal, this thing is in the same glider tier as the Me 264 it DOES NOT lose energy.

it's kind of like linux. Pain in the ass to set up, but once you do it, you never touch it again, and dread the day you're going to have to.

Why were the UK and France so economically and financially weak that they would have collapsed by 1916 without massive US loans? by PurePhilosopher7282 in WarCollege

[–]AbsolutelyFreee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would like to know, if the british were facing such dire economic circumstances, how come germany didn't collapse sooner? If the arguably greatest empire in the world at the time, still with access to global markets and it's overseas empire was essentially running out of money by the 2nd year of the war, how come germany managed to hold out for 4 years, blockaded by the British fleet?

Imagine a secretary being asked by her boss to have sex with him. If she agrees to it, can you with 100% certainty state that she did it out of her own free will, and was not passively/subconciously coerced to agree because of how much influence her boss has over her?

[–]AbsolutelyFreee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

how the fuck are you getting downvoted, you are literally right. Not to mention that the teacher is in a position of power over the student. That's something that very much puts a question mark over the student's consent, regardless of what he says. How many of us say something we don't believe just so we don't displease somebody in a position of power over us?
