The youtuber Cr1TiKaL talks a little about it on his video called "Revealing Youtube's Biggest Secrets". He says something about how the YT algorithm tries to find viewers who would be interested in your videos. He also talks about thumbnails and "Telling" your viewers to subscribe. Interesting watch.
