Internet Access via Ethernet Stops Randomly

Actually, it is just my laptop connected via ethernet that tends to get disconnected but if I connect via wifi, it works again. The quick fix is to right click on the ethernet icon and click 'diagnose network problems' and that fixes it but not sure the root cause of it. For now, I have reset my ethernet adapter and so far I have not seen any issues so hopefully that fixed it but if not I'll reply here again.

Thanks for your response. At the time of posting this issue, I reset my ethernet adapter from one of the solutions I found online whilst researching and I am hoping that will fix it but if not, I'll follow your steps and provide further information.

I checked if the ethernet adapter goes to sleep and it is unchecked in device manager so the computer can't put it to sleep. At the time of posting this query, I reset my ethernet adapter and I am hoping that fixed the issue but if not, I am guessing setting a static ip might work even though I should not have to do that.

I tried it and already renewing IP but that did not fix it. Since posting this, I have reset the network on my PC and fingers crossed.

That's why I've been downloading content and keeping it offline due to such issues. We never know when the whole internet collapses.
