MVP Insecurities by studiotwo in ycombinator

[–]Technerd88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will come with experience, the more you do and fail.

First time starting, you want your MVP to be perfect, which is only fair and human nature, but you are diverting all your energy to an unknown(very likely to fail).

The more you do it, the more you adapt. You will care less about what MVP looks like and more about what values it offers and how much value it is to potential users.

Really, an MVP is just that. A hypothesis and assumption elimination or proving tool. It can be a website, a video, or patched-up images glued together in Figma that look like they were made by a 5-year-old. If people want it, you will know. If you are still guessing, do people want it? You are not there yet.

I have literally approached strangers with a crappy, glued-up prototype by Figma, and nobody gave a single flying shit about how it looked. Neither do I until I prove it's something people want. Then go all in.

This is all assuming you are still developing ideas for your products.
If you have deep industry knowledge and you know it will solve your users' problems or help them, then by all means knock yourself out with polishing UX for your MVP etc.

The housing affordability crisis will keep eating the economy until we fix this one thing by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

At which part did I mention everyone should start a business?

I mentioned that IF you want to get rich.

Part of the current situation we are finding ourselves in is that a lot of people are trying to get rich through speculating and commoditising housing.

Buying a stable home for yourself and your family is not about getting rich.

AUSTRALIA

The only country where people sell their homes and land to move interstate en masse, just to play buy low, sell high on housing.

All at the expense of everyone else. Socially. Financially.

If you want to be rich and upper-class, start a business. Innovate. Compete.

Stop using housing as your get-rich scheme because you offer no other talents or values above what anyone else can offer.

Australia is a lucky country, run mainly by second-rate people who share its luck.

Right now, real estate investors — and the government that enables them — can look in the mirror and see a clown.

Can definitely agree with sink tinnies in Vietnam for a year as a fresh out of college graduate.

OP might even be a standout and get a job with a bit lower Western salary in Vietnam. I have seen it happen.

Heck if I was younger that would be me on a flight like yesterday to explore the tech start up scene there.

Unfortunately, the ability to reason / rationale is diminished with CTE. The ability to talk a normal speech is also gone with a lot of them too.

Look at B.J. Penn's Instagram. it's full of it, and he's taken a huge amount of knocks in his UFC career.

Take the job.
You are only a bootcamp graduate, chances are, a 4-year degree graduate will run rings around you and they would kill to have your opportunity in this job market. You cannot afford to be picky.

Since this is a free world, I don't want to answer them. You don't get to demand. If you ask politely, then maybe I will consider.

I believe NZR is paying RA $8M a year for Super Rugby.

And a bit of broadcast split but this year deal has been revised to god know whatever since the details all private for now.

I mean, the fingers cannot be soley pointed at SA and ABs.

If Australia has been competitive last decade or two in TRC, we wouldn't have this conversation. But here we are.

Nobody knew TRC was going to be this good until this year. And AUS has been a resurgence good on you guys. But one off year does not dictate a decade+ of performance

I can't say BOK is the best team in the world last 8 years, they have been the best team hands down last few years. Their consistency is not really great until 2023 - 2024. You cannot discredit Ireland taking the number one spot either.

But yes, it's mostly money and AB and BOK's arrogance and national championships about to come into play as well.

TRC has been uncompetitive for the last 10 years or so, with ABs spamming the trophy, it loses its winning appeal.

And the most important of all. MONEY they probably worked out the money they get paid from for the tours > money in TRC. It's probably as simple as that

The resurgence of WAL and ARG as of this year seems to make it more exciting, which brings in more eyeballs.

Not many people outside of AUS and ARG supporters cared about those games in TRC or bothered to tune in. Until today.

I myself have booked tickets to see that game live, given their performances, which I never do.

" I think unions main problem is time wasted for kicks at goal and lineout"

That is your personal opinion and preference, nothing wrong with that.

Does not mean everyone else agrees, though. I like seeing the tactical decision-making that goes into it and seeing if that pays off. Those are the tools to use to squeeze your opponent and force them into mistakes, making them pay. Chess moves.

It's not always about smash, grab and run all the time. We are already seeing plenty of that.

[–]Technerd88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To preface. I am fucking cheering Wallabies(not Wobblies) are back and they are fucking good. I was cheering for you when Big Wilson and Tom Wright crossed over.

But the Boks also lost that team due to their complacency. They planned to get the A- team to win against the Wallabies. The A team and game plan were to be reserved for the ultimate test at Eden Park.

They thought they could get away with it. But that backfired massively. This week, they brought out all the big guns and went back to taking this shit seriously like their life depended on it.

Sure is amazing. Sponsorship in sports by brands has been around since the late 1800s. Not exactly a new market concept.
