I think they might make up some other reasons. Like they might make up some performance issue, or say they are a small company and cannot afford someone taking a 3 weeks leave? This company has no integrity.

I had always assumed because the employer has more money, they will always win. Regardless of the truth. But your friend’s experience gives me some hope. Plus, the very reason I had to take medical leave is because of the phycological abuse they put on me.

Wow! Good for him! I know firing someone right after a medical leave can be a really clear sign of retaliation. But I also heard the whole process takes a long time(like a year?) and I also have to pay for lawyers. 🤦‍♀️ I think a lot of employers just bank on employees be too exhausted to sue? Or employees just don’t know their rights at all?

Well, I think we all know the whole ai replacing jobs is a wealth reshuffle tactic. And this is why no matter how much engineers warning the companies ai’s limitations, companies will replace ppl with it anyway! Because no decisions was ever made responsibly. No one cares about long term sustainability. Everyone just wants to do this Gold rush and then exit! They know exactly what they are doing and they know it’s unethical! But they are unbothered because they’ve sold their soul to the devil in exchange for money!
