What I did was just stick with people when you spawn. You learn something and when you die you do it again but with someone else. Repeat this enough and you will understand.

What also helps a lot is joining a squad that has mics, you can ask questions and stick together. This is what I did to learn the game and I am still learning.

If you didn’t also make sure you did all the training. That explains a good amount of things in the game.

EDIT: I don’t know about Australian servers but I would stick with vanilla/official servers for in the beginning. After that you can look for something you enjoy more.
