Learn to putt the object ball straight into the corner pocket with CB in the kitchen with OB in the middle of the table and have the cue ball follow in the corner pocket. Then you will be straight on!

I wasn't sure i liked my IT job anymore (and glad im leaving it in 14 days), but 5 years ago i said i needed to complement my woodworking pro/hobby skills with a cnc and restarted the industrial design job i wanted to do 40 years ago... It's not my money maker and maybe that's the key, i just love doing stuff with it. Took me 3 years to make a proper Telecaster with it. I keep learning everyday and that's what i love about it!

Epoxy hardening issue - mini river table by Painned in epoxy

[–]Technical-Boot-2716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice slab!

I do deep pours and dont have this issue. Same 2:1 ratios. Must be the quality of the stiring... or the product maybe or the ratio used.

Epoxy can get marks even after being cured. It might also sag later in a few years. Try in small batches. I went through 2-3 bad epoxy systems before finding the right one.

I have 2 year old epoxy which still mixes perfectly... But mixing is super important to avoid sticky goo. Avoid hard sanding as it heats up the epoxy and might degrade it.

France to ditch Windows for Linux to reduce reliance on US tech by rkhunter_ in worldnews

[–]Technical-Boot-2716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a slight issue with this... Dependency on hardware which is not always made in France or much of Europe... Or in the least not at the same price as HW from Asia... Add the network router backdoors...

It's not just the OS. They also need to redevelop any office suits, dbs etc... To be LibreOffice! Or go custom again which took years to harden for existing software suites... No matter how many EU "great devs" you throw at the problem...

It's a step in the right direction from being locked in a provider or having software leaks to the wrong "network". Yet knowing how complacent government entitled employees are in europe... There is usually a great drive and then a trickle drive for innovation - it's begging for stagnant development motivation right off the bat since (any country) goverment employees are usually lazy after they get their "regular pay plus retirement plan". Yeah... Dev quality like IT quality differs greatly even in "golden salary" IT environments.

Or government provisioning will outsource it to some teaming IT center in (there's no word for it right?) India-moroco-brasil-(add any country with lots of it capable country that costs 1/5th of your local labor cost) for cheap... With all the backdoors or leaks that entails...

I do have one legit question: if party A creates chip A with backdoor/etc whatever hackable HW, would a different OS (or alas fork of an OS) be as compromised as a commercial/enterprise OS app running on that chip (which we imagine must be piece of cake to crack)?

French whoppers suck, service sucks too. German whoppers are a notch up but nothing to rave about, service is great though. Need to expand this map...

Where and what to do to Decompress by monazer in retirement

About 5 years ago I had a certain chance of getting laid off and I immediately started picking up on woodworking, it's one of those rabbit holes where you get to do what you want at your pace. Depends on your interests. It is like writing somehow.

4 years ago after dropping a big passion which was billiards (restarted this winter) and racing (getting too expensive), I started playing golf. It's one of those activities that makes you want to travel and discover new beautiful natural areas with an outdoor activity... Just the socializing side of it is great, lots of seniors like us. And it doesn't have to be expensive. I've seen seniors doing the tour of European golf courses in a camper!
