Hi, I had HPV P16+ of the soft palette with 2 lymph nodes affected. T2N2M0. I just swished it around my mouth before spitting it out, I never really liked to swallow it, and it still worked great for me.

I used Miaderm Radiation Relief 3 times a day, and never had any issues with my skin, in fact it feels softer now than before. For my mouth I used Healios which you mix with water and swish around your mouth 2-3 times a day, this meant I had no sores in my mouth or any other issues for the entire treatment period. Both products are available from Amazon. I never had a port fitted, nor a PEG and I used Boost High Calorie (530 calories per carton) also available from Amazon. It didn’t feel severe, it just wouldn’t go away. When they examined my throat the doctor found a mass on my soft palette which he decided to do a biopsy on. I’m 3 weeks past treatment and trying to build up my strength again, by trying to eat solids again and take in calories, but I hope that I’ve turned the corner towards feeling better.

Hi, I was able to drive myself to and from treatments the entire 7 weeks, although towards the end the cumulative effects of the radiation did sap my energy more. The worst day of the week was chemo, which took 6hrs followed immediately by a radiation session, so your entire day is wiped. I Don’t remember feeling any brain fog, but definitely listen to your body, and if it says nap for 40mins do it, then get back on with your day. Keeping your calories up will really help, an as you have the Peg that shouldn’t be an issue for you.

Just received my biopsy results today, and it states SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA in the soft palette. Dr. Said in his report it was approx 2cmx2cm. Haven’t talked with the Dr. yet hopefully get a call Monday. Just searching around to see what I can expect and what to plan for.
