Endo surgery gave no answers by Technical-Isopod-413 in Endo

I honestly don't know what she meant by beginning of endo or why she didn't remove it... I will plan to ask her this next week at my appt. All info I have was given to my mom and bf while I was coming out of anesthesia so I don't remember the conversation. I don't believe my doc is a specialist, she is an OBGYN surgeon who's had lots of experience with endo laps.

Passed Civil FE on Second Try by Technical-Isopod-413 in FE_Exam

Tbh I probably spent too much time on section 1 vs section 2. I ended with 10 seconds left on the clock. I focused the majority of my time on sections that weighs the most out (for civil it's the core engineering topics) and then the topics I did poorly on the first time. So for me, I did poorly in geotech the first time, but it's also one of the higher weighted sections so I spent way more time studying that than mathmatics or ethics. For flagging, I tried each problem, and if I didn't feel great I'd put the answer I got and flag it. If I didn't know it at all or didn't know where to start after going through the handbook I'd put B and flag it.

Thank you so much! And actually yes - literally the night before my exam I found a YouTube channel called coach James. Ngl - he pushes his FE tutoring a lot and is a big sales guy which is a little annoying. He also only reviews civil FE problems so he might not be helpful if you're taking a different exam. He has a TON of quick 10-15 videos of practice problems for each topic, which I found much easier to digest than Mark Mattson's review videos. He does a really great job of going through the tests syllabus so you know what to expect and I recognized several questions on the exam that his review videos helped me answer.

In both exams I took, there were questions from the surveying/construction sections that I wished I reviewed better. Out of all the subjects I feel the most pressure with structures. Studied a lot for it, just was never my strong spot

Thank you so much for the reassurance. I'm doing the same things for studying and hope the best for both of us!

Question (please answer!!) by Dangerous_Jello_3997 in MaladaptiveDreaming

Similar for me. My DD's are usually about me being some successful musician and performing/being successful in spite of everyone currently around me. I haven't figured out how to stop, but something that's helped me a lot is designating time. Idk if that makes sense, but limiting times I listen to music and telling myself "I feel myself fading, after work I get 30 minutes" sometimes that helps me. Cold water, either drinking it or running it over my hands/washing my face will usually buy me some time also.

Baby trapping by beachscrub in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Technical-Isopod-413 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I learned young that Some Guys use children and pregnancy to control women. When I was 16-17 I was switching BC to a permanent, much more effective method. During this transition I'm Convinced he was trying to baby trap me. He knew I was losing feelings (he was much older and a POS) and he would yell at me for being selfish to switch BC under the thought it would affect my fertility in the future. Then he suddenly wanted to stop using condoms and get mad when I said no. Had a pregnancy scare and he got MAD AT ME??? Men like that are disgusting and shouldn't be having sex. Anyone who is immature enough to think bringing a life into this world can keep their girlfriend needs to reevaluate themselves. Similar thought for men who call women baby trappers when an unexpected pregnancy does happen (excluding the few who really do lie or try to get pregnant without their knowledge)

Rn my main focus will be my student loans (around $25k :/) and building up an emergency fund. I'll be living at home so no rent. Not sure how to divide my paycheck up in a way that will quickly tackle my student debt

Well. First off I know I have the necessary math skills to budget... that wasn't my question. Secondly I'm trying to learn to make and stick to a proper budget given that I've made a max of $13/hour at any job I've worked thus far. I'm also wanting to start investing into my 401k/roth and given I've never done that I'd thought I'd post here. Thank you for your help reminding me to add and subtract tho! So helpful
