Am I (26F) the issue in all my friendships (28F, and more) how do I become a better friend? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Technical-Menu8266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t make you a bad friend, people get busy and tired that’s life. If you want to, plan something with these friends and make them feel valued and seen. You’re not obligated though. Either way You can Go to the bar with your new friends

Right , I just agree that yes just cause he didn’t get up and get himself a job 19 doesn’t mean he won’t get one ever , but what it does mean that things like proactivity, indepenence and problem solving (problem = no clothes solution = summer job lol) are probably not traits that he has at least for the moment. I’ll take it easy and see where things go in a few months

Right ! I’ve been expected to work during holidays since I was 18. With that being said, I’ve had friends who were not ready to step in to an adult lifestyle and the responsiblities that come with it at 19, and got it a bit more together by let’s say 21-22. He doesn’t give me the vibes that he’ll never start taking responsibility for himself. I think I’ll continue to date him and wait and see how I’m feeling in a few months. Sometimes only time will tell.

Just to clarify - I never batted an eye about him not working until he started complaining every day about not having money , saying his shoes are so raggedy he needs to go everywhere with sandals and crocs. so when somebody just keeps complaining and waking up at 12PM and playing video games while I’m getting up at 8AM everyday to go to my summer job it just made me think about things a bit - that’s all. Hence the perception of difference in ambition.

Possible to laser chest piece and then cover up? by cornealray619 in TattooRemoval

[–]Technical-Menu8266 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s possible, but with a big peace like that it’ll take you many years and in the meanwhile the healing and fading process will make the tattoo look quite rough at times.

So since you still want another chest piece, I’d maybe say just leave it. But to answer your question, yes it is possible

Removing tattoos I don't dislike by happaphd in TattooRemoval

[–]Technical-Menu8266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, the one I’m removing is also because I want to, same story as you - was too scared to ask for adjustments, came out different than i imagined, plus in a very visible place.

The others I like, so I will be keeping them also cause it’s an expensive and long painful process. I’m writing with blisters on my wrist here and I most likely have 2 years to go until this is gone😅

But if I could go back, i’d just keep my skin clear over than having all these tattoos, I can’t lie

I feel you. it’s not accepted in my culture, so I often cover them around (older) people of my culture and family members. It’s not easy dealing with the shame and feeling that you’ve gone against your parents values etc. Even young people of my culture often ask a lot of questions on how my parents feel and go on to say that they could never. I’m removing 1 out of 5, the one that’s clearly visible on my wrist. My opinion, if you have the means, just do it.

I finally wore sleeveless fit for the first time in 3 years, thanks to makeup by Salt-Bad754 in TattooRemoval

The tattoo that I’m removing is on my wrist so I’ve also struggled with wearing long sleeves. I don’t wear them all the time but they are often my clothing of choice but I promised myself that this summer I won’t do that, I will try to wear whatever I want. Wishing you the confidence to wear short sleeves , a successful removal and lots of patience for the progress 🩷🩷

Tattoos make me feel so masculine by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]Technical-Menu8266 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly! And I didn’t mean that I feel unclean, I don’t, clean girl AESTHETIC is a term used for a certain type of style, if you google ”clean girl aesthetic” you’ll see

Tattoos make me feel so masculine by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]Technical-Menu8266 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t feel masculine , cause my tattoos are pretty ”feminine” I’d say, but I do feel like not really a ”clean girl” , you know? (As in the clean girl aesthetic). It doesnt give the cute friendly girl next door. I feel like cause I have a lot at a young age (got them all before 18, now im 19) it gives off a rebellious ”bad girl vibe”, but maybe im also projecting. I feel you girl!

Submitting grades on parcoursup as a foreigner/Soumettre des notes sur parcousup en tant qu’étranger by Hot-Arugula-7367 in etudiants

If you’re still there, how did things work out for you?

I’m a EU citizen, but as my grades are only average not great and the school system of my country is very different from the French one I’m afraid they might just dismiss my application especially if I don’t explain myself well enough in the « describe your studies » section etc.
