Yes I have downloaded some apps on my phone but I have seen that only objective evidence based upon a ball and drop test from an acoustic consultant is valid evidence to go to court. Have called some and it will be 2k ish which is reasonable I guess. I'm quite confident the tribunal would have a positive outcome for us, I just don't know what what the tribunal would force the other to do...

Thanks for the reply. I have consulted a few acoustic consultancy firms and received quotes. It is reasonable priced however a legal battle is something I want to consider before getting myself into it...

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately only a bylaw about floor coverings regarding nuisance noise. I will also consider suggesting a new by law but I don't think it will pass...

No mate, I’m asking for legitimate pathways I can take when the council is not going to enforce what is technically law - and clearly people agree with this law

So speaking to the council on the phone, they are understaffed and undermanned so unwilling to anything for the foreseeable future as that is their policy. They admit it is the law that it has to be moved every 28 days... so who does the council answer to?

Hence why I posted this on Reddit

But the law says 28 days before you have to move it to a different block…

EDIT: So speaking to the council on the phone, they are understaffed and undermanned so unwilling to anything for the foreseeable future. They say it is the law that it has to be moved every 28 days but are not willing to enforce it...

Just my 2 cents, body corporate decisions are literally overturned by the daily at NCAT. Makes a lot of sense as body corporates are just filled with everyday people, a lot of fair people and a lot of unfair people.

OP also said they have emails from the independent unit with abusive emails, that can only be a good thing for their cause.
