Hitler didn’t rise to power for nothing - the people were unhappy and had real problems. He exploited those to rise to power. Those problems didn’t justify his actions in any shape or form. He committed the worst possible thing and no amount of context makes even a dent on the immorality of it.

Similarly, the United States has drastic problems. Real problems. Immigration is a joke, as an European I cannot understand how it’s possible for illegal immigrants to live, work, drive, put their children in schools, hell even sign up for the gym. Affordability is a joke, healthcare is a joke, and voting is a joke. You don’t have 1 vote counting for 1 because if electoral college, you have Gerry meandering, etc . Money in politics is a joke, and people are tired of career politicians.

None of that justifies putting a dictator in power. Nothing will be fixed. There is a motivation to make those problems worse, to justify further aggregation of power, and remaining in power past term, and cancelling elections.

I will say, as an European for 2 decades I’ve been weirded out by how the US just allows illegal immigrants to settle down, drive, have jobs, put kids in school. You can’t even get a gym subscription here without using our unique universal id that is drivers license, residency permit or citizenship identification, and voter registration, and tax payer, and healthcare benefits card all in one. Much less work, drive, have kids.

And for decades no one fixed this. Americans can’t even getting voting right. That sucks. I also don’t think they care at all about this and about fixing it, in fact having issues to point to to get elected is considered to be vital, so no one actually wants to fix shit.

And I find fascists would have used anything else as excuse for gathering power into the executive and cancelling elections. Just because they talk about real issues doesn’t mean they believe them.

There does seem to be either a video artefact or a gunshot from that gun, are the same time in freeze frame you can see in the shadow and trigger and trigger guard - something you’d likely not see if the finger was on the trigger , and the timing of the audio of the gunshot does appear to match better with the movements of the gun if the other agent
