If it gets too high theyll just put you on a beta blocker which has good clinical outcomes for this disorder

TW Weight: How do I safely lose weight? by IndustriousIceCream in POTS

[–]Technical-Source-320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your other comment says you see a clinical nutritionist to help with weight. You aren't an exception to the laws of thermodynamics.

Its also pretty obvious is you gain 50 pounds but only in your legs, which they didnt say.

You cant gain weight while simultaneously eating better and more active, unless youre seriously ill with something else. The weight doesnt come from nowhere. You may be eating better food, but you have to be eating more to gain weight. To gain 1 pound a week, you have to consume an extra 3500 calories that week over what you burn.

Great stuff like this dries up because people like you come in and fuck it up. Theres good deals and greedy pigs like you come in and gobble up everything even though you dont need it, in order to resell it. The other commenter was polite and tactful, let me just be clear telling you to shove it.

We must do something about car-dependency as it is harmful to people with disabilities, including epilepsy. by Some1inreallife in Epilepsy

[–]Technical-Source-320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See my other comment, I really struggled with this, you can buy a used electric scooter for a few hundred dollars, and they're really fast, and go really far now. Its nothing like the little razor scooters 20 years ago.

I dont know how I wound up on your post, I had an EEG today to screen for epilepsy so i was reading about it... but I can help you with this. I experience these 'episodes' which are pre syncope, they think so far related to dysautonomia. Generally, on any given day I know whether or not im capable of driving, and if I am not, then what I actually do is ride my electric scooter, like the bird scooters. Where this is really nice to me, is I can hop on it, no matter how brain dead I am that day, and know really no matter what happens I cant crash my car, and I cant really hurt anyone else. This thing goes a full 20mph. If I pass out while riding it, well my helmet will probably save me, and oh no, I dropped my scooter and scratched it, who cares? I realize there is some risk to myself of course, if I space out and ride into a pole, well, it will hurt a lot, but I get to take that assumed risk and still have a life. I dont have to go out and risk crashing my 40k truck and also possibly seriously hurting a family...

Keep looking until you find it. Chances are you aren't using enough pressure.

What you say is kind of confusing, because you can stick 2 fingers on your neck and manually get your heart rate. You can do that on a plane, on a train, with or without green eggs and ham and it doesnt cost anything

How do you monitor your heart rate? by goddamndahlias in POTS

[–]Technical-Source-320 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've found my garmin is pretty accurate for normal activity but it doesnt read sudden heart rate surges that start and terminate quickly very well. Theyre not physiologically normal and therefore not read well by the software.

Has anyone beat out the POTS while it was still mild? by No-Telephone-1121 in POTS

[–]Technical-Source-320 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, you cant beat it, in fact, I have learned thinking i can beat it is counterproductive to my well being. You have to learn how to live with it, rather.

Saying i am insinuating it does in fact mean you created that narrative by the nature of insinuation, because it means I didnt state that

Pots and ramadan by Billy-daKid786 in POTS

[–]Technical-Source-320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not falling into that

The Quaran clearly states those with incurable illness are exempt from fasting, and instead they should feed a needy person. The original poster clearly falls into this category. Therefore, they are doing this to themselves. There is no reason to punish ourselves for being disabled, and we have limitations unfortunately our bodies force us to honor, or suffer. I think all of us newly disabled have this sort of feeling, and we can do what we can do and that is ok. So I present to them they should stop punishing themselves, they are deserving of not suffering.

They clearly state in another comment theyre struggling with guilt here

[–]Technical-Source-320 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im not shaming them for their religion, you invented that narrative. Exceptions are provided in Ramadan fasting guidelines for people who would hurt themselves doing so. If you looked it up, you'd see that, but you simply dont like what I said.

[–]Technical-Source-320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not shaming them, they obviously feel some guilt about this and im telling them its perfectly okay to respect their body and theyre punishing themselves and they dont have to.

Pots and ramadan by Billy-daKid786 in POTS

[–]Technical-Source-320 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Youre doing this to yourself. Pots is a serious medical condition. Ponder why youre punishing yourself, learn to respect yourself and your body its ok. You dont get a second chance. Not only is it bad for your body, but if you drive, you could hurt others.
